Flights from LAX - advice needed!

I have booked a direct flight from Dubai to LAX for August, this is way further in advance than normal but I wanted to try and get people who are coming from the UK to commit early enough to save. My question is am I better booking a return flight LAX > LAS now or wait until nearer the time? I have seen Delta flights that fit perfectly with my international flight times which are running at $230 return, is this a good deal?

Any advice as to where the best place to look for deals would be appreciated.
