Anyone have any luck getting resort fees removed in the winter? I can tolerate paying them in the summer but in the winter when the pool is closed its seems like pure BS. A few times I have asked for them to be removed and once they did without a fuss.

Anyone know any tips or tricks that always work? Would tipping $20 work? Is it a no-no to ask them "if I tip you $20 would you be able to find a way to remove the resort fee?"

Using a players card for gambling or with purchases is a sure way to get them removed

Good to know. Do you use the players card for food purchases in restaurants?

the 20 dollar trick, at check-in place a twenty in between your players card and your ID. some times works sometimes doesn't. you will always get something out of it room upgrade, resort fee waived are the most common.

I have used it for nearly everything. Restaurants, bars, show tix, anything. I would sign up for one before checking in if you dont have one.

Sure fire way to get resort fees removed if any of the above methods don't work. Use an American Express credit card and challenge the amount of resort fees through AMEX Customer Service saying that you did not utilize any of the services they charged for.
