  • Booking a suite for EDC weekend June 18 - 24?

Hey guys, me and my group of friends are looking for a Suite for a group of 9 people during the EDC weekend. We will be staying from June 18th and checking out on the 24th. Our group budget is up to $5000 for the whole stay. We are looking at the strip hotels. looking to book by the end of the month.

This is what we have so far

    Mandalay Bay 3BR. $3141
MGM Grand Patio Skyline Terrace Suite $5243
    Mirage Tower Suite 2BR $3044
    Mirage Penthouse Suite 2BR $3630
    Mirage Hospitality Suite 3BR $2639
Monte Carlo Penthouse Suite 2BR $4440

Bellagio and Caesars are fully booked for those dates and we were put on the wait list. Let me know if you guys can find me a good deal!

Check Elara as well. It would be even cheaper if someone's parents have a timeshare week they are willing to gift.

      Hey Xnova-
I understand what your trying to do- it would be great to have some super swank place- but a little worried for your group because of the size- 9 people.
If you get a three bedroom- are you thinking three people per bed? Not sure of your guy/girl ratio or how many couples you have but that's a little much.

Also keep in mind- your probably not going to spend much time in the suite itself. If your going to pool parties, nightclubs and edc you just need a place to sleep. And when you get tired your groups probably going to want real beds to sleep in so they can sleep good.

I would say you should get (4) regular rooms with two beds each- so you have eight beds and four bathrooms.
Try for close to strip but no resort fee- I just checked on kayak.com you can get something like that for about $40 a night on those dates. Looking at $250 a room x 4 so $1000. You can use that other $4,000 on pool parties and nightclubs.

        +1 for what artedm said....

You *should* barely spend any time in the room so it's definitely not worth spending big bucks on one suite. I think my group (8) is eyeing the dirty bird Flamingo and just getting two basic 2 queen rooms to pre game and crash in for whoever needs it throughout the weekend. Ends up being like $1,500 for two rooms after everything... $5000(your budget)-1,500=$3,500 <---Boom. pool party money!

Waste of money going the suite route. Agree with Arte and Juice.

You can also do Harrahs 2 queen beds, known as the Deluxe Double Room, for $810 for that time frame plus taxes. Break down: $660 total per room + $25/day resort fee. Pile in 2 rooms $1620 is $180/person for the trip. 3 people per room is $270/person for the trip. If you go 2 people per room $405 each for the trip before taxes with 1 room with 3 people.

We did Harrahs this past July 2013 and Oct. 2012 and I called 3 days in advance and had them put all 7 of our rooms next to each other with 4 on one side and 3 on the other. We had 18 people with a few splitting rooms. Just had to give them all of the confirmations to put in their notes on the system. No probs when we checked in.

Link to the Total Rewards page and I did not use my card for pricing plus you can look at all of the other CET properties prices and change rooms, etc. If you sign up for total rewards they send tons of offers and usually have a good first time offer when signing up. My wife got the room comped this past July for 5 of the 7 days due to being a new rewards member who signed up online. Cost us $140 total before taxes due to we had to pay for Friday and Saturday.

            Hope this helps.

Thanks for the concerns. I am aware of how less time we will be spending in the hotel rooms. But some of the guys got a little way ahead of their heads because of the EDC rush.

Right now, they are looking at a bellagio penthouse suite with two connecting queen rooms. 6K in total.

                Ugh.
