  • How many in a room

I'm looking at booking a trip next year. We are probably going to book the X3 at Mandalay Bay, and one or two double queens.

My question is this: Do you tell the hotel about every single person staying in the rooms? We will be looking to fill each room, so 6 and 4 people in each respectively. As I see it, the rate would jump up quite a bit if I declared all occupants. How likely is it that the hotel will know you have extra people if you only book for two people in each room. Has anyone done this before, or heard about people doing it?

you dont need to tell them how many. When they ask for how many keys, just say the allotted for that room and no more than that so you wont get charged. Theyre not going to investigate each room in the property. Unless theres some crazy party and you're getting complaints, I doubt they will ever check.

Also, when you're checking in don't have the entire group standing up by the desk.

Yeah I once on a budget trip with 6, stayed in a regular 2 queen room. A pair brought in air mattresses and I was on the long chair and 1 unfortunate soul got the tub/floor. Obviously none of us were looking to pull extra curricular's into our room and it was merely a 2-4 hour crash pad, but it worked. Obviously, like Cowboys said, only send 1-2 up to the front desk.
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

        Planning
        2014 - March 13-16 - Bachelor Party
        2014 - June 5th - 9th (maybe) - Big 30.

I dont think I remember even being asked how many when checking in. Vertain websites have you scroll to the appropriate number of guests, but not sure who would ever admit to the actual amount

I'm planning to book the X3 as well this November. I'll only say we have 6 people.

Haha, how many are you putting in there? Some photos and/or a mini review of the suite would be awesome ;-)

haha ok. We have a race event in town on Sunday and will probably celebrate a friends Bday as well so we'll have bunch of people we'll be partying with. We'll be there Friday to Sunday. 22-24th

I know we'll occupy each bed at 2 each, with 3 beds thats 6 people. Then you have the L-shaped couch, not sure if it turns into a bed, but we'll see. So count 2 for that.
                8 comfortably.

If theres last min crashers, there is 1 long chair in each room. I dont know what theyre called but someone crash on there, so theres another 2 sleeping spots.

I've always called for at least 1 roll away at Aria or any Mlife property I stay at and they have always been good at giving me one for no charge. So with 1 roll away. I will say the total possible sleeping spots are 11.

On Saturday I have a V suite for myself so I'll be sleeping comfortably for sure. haha.
