  • The Signature at MGM Grand

So MGM has a pretty good promotion running through next week at The Signature for the 1 bedroom balcony suite, it was like $440 before taxes for a Thursday-Sunday in June when I last checked.

Does anyone have any experience staying at The Signature? I have never even ventured over to the area, stayed at MGM Grand this past summer though.

I have heard it is about 5-10 minute walk to get to the casino at MGM Grand. It would be a couple guys in their mid 20's and I am wondering if it is kind of secluded and away from all the action. If it is more of a family type environment then it probably isn't what we would be looking for.

    Thanks for any insight.

I stayed at The Signature last year, I enjoyed the hotel but don't have any other Las Vegas hotels to compare it to yet. The length of the walk to MGM/strip depends on which of the 3 towers you are in. 5 to 15 is about right, it does have moving walkways to make it a little easier when you've had a few too many drinks.

It didn't have a family environment to it, maybe if anything it could be considered a sophisticated, less party style environment.

I'm in two minds to recommend it, it is a nice hotel, but I'm sure an equally nice hotel can be found closer to the action. Probably for a similar or only slightly higher price if you time your booking right.

Try checking the MGM Grand itself.

The rooms in the Sig are nice - stayed there Sept 2012 and got a room in the top floor of Tower 3. Definitely not as much of a party atmosphere - as stated, you have to walk 5-15 to get to the main casino area, and there is no gambling area in the towers themselves.

I have stayed at The Signature 3 times, and honestly I can't complain about anything, yes it is a little walk to the casino, BUT if you are planning to use the Monorail to go anywhere else along the strip, you couldn't be closer! Every time I have stayed there, I was in the tower closest to MGM, I also had a balcony every time, which is amazing, and almost unheard of in LV, especially for the price. On the other hand, I had friends that were in the tower furthest from MGM, and they felt like they walked miles before they got anywhere, so you might want to make sure that you can get into the closest tower. There is a Starbucks in the closest tower, which is much less busy than the one in MGM so that might be a plus on its own!
