  • Cosmo/ Marriott - Vons Delivery

Long time Lurker, figured I'd share my experience after researching these threads for a Bachelor Party

The Marriott/ Cosmo deal worked for me (Booked in June). I got a warp around Terrace room for Friday-Monday for $200 a night. Thats 50 bucks cheaper then what some guys in our group were paying for cosmos basic room. I made sure to list as many websites with a cheaper rate that I could find on Marriott's claim form. The room was awesome without even doing any sandwich at the front desk- Overlooking Marquee with views of the Bellagio water fountains- Room 2402 in the West end tower I believe.

As for Von's Delivery it worked like a charm. Free delivery for first order plus a free case of bottled water. One thing to be cautious of is that the bellmen are not allowed to hold onto any food/drink deliveries. We arrived at 12 to try and check in and I had the delivery set for 2pm. Our room wasn't ready but luckily a friends was so we were able to throw everything in that room. I asked the bellman for a hand since we had ordered a fair amount of snacks and drinks. The bellmen went through the stuff as the Vons guy off loaded it from the truck and made sure it wasn't stuff for a "party". Luckily the Vons driver knew the drill and hid most of the handles until the bellmen was distracted and passed them off to me directly.

Threw the Vons driver $10 and the bellmen $20 and life was good

    Sounds Awesome!

Where did you find the better hotel rates to get LNF to work? $200/night for the wraparound sounds great!
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

    Planning
    2014 - March 13-16 - Bachelor Party
    2014 - June 5th - 9th (maybe) - Big 30.

So theres a bunch of nitty gritty details to the Marriott guarantee. If you read the fine print the cheaper offer has to be for a cheaper nightly rate, if you find something that shows as a discount for your entire stay it doesn't count. The other big part is that the cheaper rate has to be publicly available to everyone. For example if you own an AMEX card and use AMEX to book the room at a cheaper rate it doesn't count because not everyone has an AMEX card.

Cosmo was offering a stay 2 nights and get the 3rd free deal so I was already getting essentially 1/3rd off the stay already. Orbitz I believe was honoring this deal as well. The Marriott website did not show either of those deals so I actually listed orbitz and cosmo website search results in my claim form for an additional 25% off.

A side note is that I think Marriott may have messed up their math. Either they applied the cheapest days rate to every day or someone was feeling extra generous. I'm just not sure how a $700 a night room becomes $200 a night with those numbers. It may also help to be a Marriott Rewards member.

I had one of the other guys try and book the same room for the same weekend and his rate was closer to $400 a night so I haven't totally figured out how the numbers work.

I was planning on doing a Vonn's delivery when I go to the Cosmo in 2 weeks, but I was wondering if they would give me a hard time because I'm getting liquor delivered.

So just to make sure, you asked a bellman for help and that's why he went through the delivery items? It wasn't automatic? I was wondering if they would do a security check/inspection to the delivery even if I didn't ask for help.

How was most of the handles "hidden"?

I'm not having a bachelorette party, but it's going to be a fair amount of alcohol, mixers, and snacks that we are ordering for the room. We are staying there for 4 nights-5 females

            Duke,

I didnt use any international websites just found a deal on orbitz and through cosmo website that wasnt shown on marriott website.

            Cat,

So what I first learned is that Vons will not deliver to your room (at least they wouldnt for me). They called and I went down to pick it up. I made the mistake of asking for the bellmans help right away. If I did it again I would probably take a backpack or my luggage bag down. Throw all the booze in it and then ask for help for the other items if there is alot.

There was no "security check" or anything for any of the bags. Everything that came off the vons truck was in plastic bags so you'd have to look in to see what was in it. The vons guy knew which bags had booze and handed them to me to carry while the bellmen was busy loading some of the other stuff on a cart.

Plus per usual in Vegas i'm sure a group of ladies could get away with much more then I could
