Heading to vegas in a couple days, should be pretty low season. Staying 4 nights and booked a cheap city room.

Plat with MLife and did the status match with Cosmo. Do you know if they give upgrades with the Plat status? Any any of you have any luck doing a sandwich in the vip check in? I was going to do a $50 but would do a $100 if I could get a wrap around or something. What would you guys suggest?

Forgot to add, if I needed passes to Marquee, would the check in clerk be able to set that up for me as well or should I ask the concierge or something? Thanks!

Marquee you can get into as a hotel guest any night except for Fri / Sat for free by showing your room key. They could always change the rules if a big name DJ is there on Sunday, but for the most part it works.

The sandwich has pretty good success at Cosmo. Getting to a wraparound though from a city room will be tough even with $100. Getting to a terrace suite with it though should be no problem with $50.

Was there back in May. Tried a $50 sandwhich for an upgrade to a terrace suite from a standard 2 queen...FAIL

What date did you check-in? How many nights? Did you get the $50 back when they accommodate you?

May 10th-13th (3 nights). I asked if there were any comp upgrades availible, and the girl (Short dark hair, black frame glasses, a bit on the bigger side) said "No, not today," and gave back the cash. She then offered us an upgrade to the very same room I was trying to pull on the sandwhich trick for an extra $60/night, which we took... Mostly because it was only about 10am and we were able to check in earlier opposed to having to wait until 3 for our standard room.

Just a quick update. Tipped a $50 during check in and she wanted to give us a terrace suite, but it was sold out. Settled for a one bedroom with Bellagio fountain view, which was well worth the $50. We booked a city room.

Went this past June, stayed from Saturday to Tuesday (3 nights, 4 days). Originally booked a Terrace studio. A $50 sandwich got me an upgrade to a Terrace 1 Bedroom. Bellagio fountain view, and the best part..all resort fees waived!
                Next trip: ???
