    Who do you bank with?
I'm not bitchy, I'm just drawn that way.

Last time I was in the Casino Royale, I found they had an ATM that only charged $1 near the bar for a withdrawal, but that was over a year ago, but that's the cheapest one I've ever seen on the Strip.

Walgreens had ATM's for Chase, BOA, and Wells Fargo so if you have one of those it's free

Link to ATM machines on strip for Bank of America, Wells Fargo and some others:

I banked with Citibank and found an ATM at every 7/11 and ranked places on the strip.
                No Fee's

If from the UK, then check with your bank as I am sure most banks will charge a fee for international withdrawals then any ATM charges will be in addition to your bank fee.

I usually get a Travelex cash passport (or something similar), its a mastercard that you can load up with USD before you fly. No charges for withdrawals (providing that the actual ATM doesnt have a charge) and safer than keeping a ton of cash in your hotel room.

I'll be honest I wouldn't bother with the Pre Paid Travel cards, the company issuing them might not charge for a withdrawal, but the ATMS in the casino charge about $6 a time, I went in the summer and id take good old travellers cheque USD, can change them at any casino free of charge! Our group of 8 all had prepaid cards and the ATMS must of made a killing out of us!

Vegas is pretty sparse when it comes to major bank-affiliated ATM's but Wells Fargo has an increasing presence. There is one at Harrah's which is mid-Strip, and several others located around town.

One step to help you hit the ground running - Always hit one of the Wells Fargo ATM's upon landing at McCarran and withdraw your maximum daily amount. (They are available pre and post-security). This way, even if the closest one is inconvenient and/or a really long walk from your hotel, you still have some cash to get you started.

I'm from the UK as well. You should keep in mind that often there is at least a conversion fee. With my card I had the option that when I paid directly at the counters (for examples when checking into the hotel or at the bar/supermarket) I had no additional fees, except for the conversion fee. Only when you take cash from an ATM you will get charged extra and that can be pretty expensive. It works that way in other parts of Europe as well by the way!
