    The Quad -- yay or nay?

    I did search for this topic and couldn't find a direct answer to my question, so don't shoot me!

    I'd never stayed at Imperial Palace but had heard horrible reviews.. how is the Quad? Better? Worse? Dingy? I don't have extremely high standards (I usually stay at the Flamingo), but I'm afraid of it being roach-infested or something haha.

    I think they're in the process of renovating the rooms, but don't think that'll be done anytime soon. Play it safe and avoid. I've heard some of those rooms look like a CSI crime scene.

      It looks like they've done a nice job with the Casino renovation. But I have a feeling when guests leave the nice casino/lobby and get into their rooms, they're in for an unwanted surprise.

        Ive stayed there WAAAAYYYYYYY back in the day. They're old rooms and nothing I would stay at anymore, but they werent horribly dirty or anything.

          I stayed there last year. Hella construction and dirty rooms. I would avoid or try harrahs instead. Just as cheap

            Imperial palace was always a good cheap hotel in a great location. I usually stayed there with a group of less discerning fellas who just wanted a place to sleep, having the balcony and open windows was useful for activities inside the hotel room as well.

            Strange side note--years ago I got the urge to go to Vegas on a whim on a Thursday in Dec, around the holidays. I wanted to play some craps. I had status at Harrahs properties and booked a free penthouse suite at IP. Turns out the penthouse is literally the top floor, and the room was easily 1500 sqft. Kinda funny since it was just me

              how was the penthouse compared to the rooms people are usually used to at IP/Quad?

                The Quad makes sense if you only have 2 nickels in your pocket, if you've got even a quarter, please stay somewhere else.
