If you had to go with one or the other and you where going with a group of guys in your low 30s and where staying from thursday till monday.which one would you choose overall and why?

I'm all about location so Flamingo due to center of the strip. Stayed at Luxor once but the cabs added up to get around. Because of the group I go with we've done Planet Hollywood, Harrah's, Paris, Monte Carlo and Aria. Never stayed at Flamingo. All pretty centralized on the strip.

Flamingo for sure if location of the strip matters, but if you plan on going to Light or Hakkasan then Luxor would be perfect. Casino floor I would go with LuxorLas Vegas is sort of like how God would do it if he had money. ~Steve WynnComment

What he said. If your party plans mostly revolve around going to places at the south end of the strip (Hakkasan, Wet Republic, Light, MGM Grand Arena, Mandalay Bay Event Center, etc.) then Luxor. Otherwise Flamingo is the more central location.Originally posted by Jhaulotte View PostComment

Both would be idea for you. I'd give Flamingo a slight edge just because of location. Easier to walk to other spots along the strip. But I wouldn't pay more than $20/night extra for it. So... price is a factor.Comment

I'd also go with Flamingo. If I remember correctly they've done some renovations so it's a decent place to stay if you don't want to spend to much on a room.Comment
