Me and my friends are going to vegas in the summer sometime. We narrowed it down based on cost and these 2 are the most reasonable that satisfy are requirements for a good pool. However which one would you recommend. Which one gets a better crowd of 21 year olds. Which one has more fun within the hotel or near it? Which one has better bars? Clubs? Also at MGM are the adult pools ok if you choose to not go to wet republic. MGM room prices are alittle higher. Is it worth it?
MGM Grand or Flamingo?(21 and 22 year olds)

Never stayed at the Flamingo before...
But from the inside (i dont mean the room cause i never saw them) i'd definitely go with MGM.
Nicer hotel + WR
But again, flamingo is probably cheaper so depend on your budget...2015

Was close to choosing it last time because the prices looked reasonable, then add on the resort fee and it made more sense to go with flamingo.
Flamingo deluxe rooms were great. No complaints. However MGM rooms look more appealing.
The Flamingo pool has an adults only pool, which was just 21+.. I would say an age range from 21 up to 50, with no dominant age crowding the pool... a bit of music playing the atmosphere was relaxing.. Ok, not great
The crowd was more unattractive then attractive.... i blame myself for lowering the eye candy level myself
One of the biggest Pro's of staying at the flamingo is its central location. Last time when i stayed just past MGM (Excalibur.. i know i know) I found I was spending alot on Taxi's to get to places.
I enjoyed hitting up Carnival Court at Harrahs which was a short walk from Flamingo.
However I cant comment on how suitable the Flamingo/MGM are for hitting up any specific clubs you want to go to.... This year im going to stay at Hard Rock and MGM I thinkLast edited by Whiggi; 04-29-2013, 05:27 PM.

Since cost has been mentioned have you signed up online for the Total Rewards or M-Life players cards. If not do so first then log into the websites to get a lot of times some better pricing for when you are looking. I would suggest looking at Harrah's if Flamingo is an option. To get into Flamingo's Go Pool show your room key and it's $15.
Personally like Harrah's better and here are the costs for Fri/Sat at Flamingo and Harrah's in July with Total Rewards card:
Flamingo- 7/5-6 $200.80 7/12-13 $212.80 7/19-20 $220.80 7/26-27 $248.40
Harrah's $177.60 $209.60 $181.60 $197.60
If you can beat those weekend rates than you are good to go. If not Harrah's is the way personally. Stayed there Oct.2012 and back July 11-17 2013. We had to only pay for Friday at Saturday a total of $140 and got Thurs, Sun-Tues comped. Fiance did that with her card and had no credits or anything on her Total rewards card. Me the gambler would have had to pay the rate above.
Hope this helps.Happily sponsoring the Las Vegas economy since July 1996
