  • Cosmo Bungalow?

Has anyone stayed in the bungalows recently? I tried to book and was told that they DO NOT provide direct access into the day and night club which is a big game changer from the last time we booked one.

Just to be clear, I was told the gates are now locked as of the Summer of 2018....

This is correct. Apparently, there was some kind of bust with under-21 kids getting into Marquee through the Bungalows in summer 2018, so all the gates are permanently shut.

Cosmo advertises that these provide expedited access to Marquee, and I can tell you from experience, that the entire arrangement is horrible. If you book a Bungalow, getting into Marquee now requires walking down a long hallway, then banging on a door and HOPING that a Marquee security guard hears you, and opens the door for you. He then checks your IDs, and brings you into a side/service entrance, and that's how you enter the pool area. What's best is, when you want to go back to your Bungalow, you enter the service hallway, only to have staff yell at you and harrass you that it's a staff-only hallway. When you mention your Bungalow, they relent, but it happens every. single. time.

Additionally, when coming back into the hotel hallway from the pool, we were stopped by hotel security, asking for our IDs because the Bungalows are 21+ only. This boggles my mind, since the rooms no longer offer unfettered access into the club, so why the age restriction. Additionally, my 21+ wristband from the pool party wasn't enough to prove my age (nor the gray hair in my beard), so security offered to ESCORT me to my Bungalow in order to produce my ID for them there.

Add to the fact that Cosmo made no mention of this crucial change to club access, and the Bungalows have quickly gone from the best setup in Vegas, to the biggest ripoff in town. It's a real shame...what should be a prestigious room that makes you look/feel like a VIP, now makes you feel like a pauper who's constantly being harrassed by hotel and Marquee staff.

Cosmo in general as a property for anyone looking for a high-end suite has completely gone down the drain. Prior to the above experience, I actually had them CANCEL my Bungalow on me, because they decided last-minute to give it to someone they valued more. They waited until I flew across the country and showed up at the hotel to inform me of this. Total garbage.

This happened to me. We had a wraparound suite booked for 2 nights then the bungalow for a couple more. At check in I paid for everything and told everything was good to go. The day we were suppose to switch rooms I called the front desk and they said they needed to clean it up and it should be good to go around 6pm ish. I called back down around that time for them to tell me my room is no longer available because a VIP came in and wanted it. I went to the front desk to make sure I don't get charged and try to get some sort of comp and nothing =(

Yeah, I could go on and on with more detail to our story, but the ultimate upshot is this: Cosmopolitan does not care about anyone coming to pay top dollar for their high-end suites. They will cancel your Bungalow literally at check-in time, they will lie to you about what amenities the rooms offer, and they seem to not care about their hotel guests whatsoever.

It's probably fine, in the end. Marquee has turned into a very low second-tier club. The trip where they misled us about club access? The Marquee pool was empty for Saturday. As in...BONE DRY. Apparently a staffer had dropped glass in the pool, so there was literally no pool at the pool party. Yet they were still happily accepting everyone's cover fee, for a pool-less pool party, in the middle of a hot August day. I think they managed to finally get some water in by around 3 or 4pm, just in time for things to start winding down.
