  • Mandalay Bay for free or pay a little for Aria?

I've got an offer for 3 free nights at Mandalay Bay. Is it worth paying a little more to stay at Aria or go with free and save my money for pools/clubs?

Personally I prefer the Aria a lot more than Mandalay Bay (mostly due to location; I rather be in the center than the south side of the strip). However everyone has a different definition of "a little more" so it depends on your budget. When are you planning on going?

Late April or early May. It would be about $300-400 more to stay at Aria

That really depends on what your budget is. The rooms at the Bay are nice and the pool is great. You can get a lot of uber rides for $300-400. It really depends on if you want the ability to easily walk to other casinos at a whim or you want to be taking time in an Uber or cab. I'm guessing it costs you about 10 minutes per ride opportunity cost vs staying at Aria. If $400 is nothing to you (throw away gambling money) stay at Aria. Otherwise I would go with MB.

If you get comp nights at MB, you should try calling Aria’s VIP services/casino marketing and talk to a host on duty. They might be able to comp your stay anyway.

Also, since you are getting comp offers from MB, chances are you’re probably Platinum with MLife. Caesars Group/CET is doing a status match into their equivalent tier (Diamond.) Worth doing because you get comp resort fees, 100 dollar dinner credit (worth it for this alone), skip the line at taxi stands, and other stuff.

Very true. I'm Diamond with Caesars, you also get a four free nights at Atlantis resort in the Bahamas each year. Diamond over there is much better than mlife. I was a mlife loyalist for a few years but finally switched over to Caesars later year. Much better perks.

Depends on what games you play and what your level of play is. Caesars is horrible with backend comps and if they do offer them, they always expect your RCs to be used up first. MLife is much more generous with backend comps and better freeplay offers/earning potential. They also let you build a bank of express comps. Better ratings with Pai Gow and low/mid-level baccarat than Caesars.

Both are good to have! MLife might be slightly better for more serious gamblers.
