Staying at the Vdara for the first time. Has anyone stayed there? Usually stay at Aria and Bellagio.

I'm in the process of actually purchasing a 1 bedroom suite at Vdara. I've never actually stayed there, but the location is not bad at all, and a stone throw away from Aria. Good choice if you're looking to save money while still staying in a nice, smoke-free, quiet place, with accessibility to City Center, and the strip.

I love Vdara, and if the suites had jacuzzis instead of plain bathtubs, I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the Strip. As long as you have something larger than a studio suite, you'll have a full size refrigerator, and separate washing machine and dryer in the room. The windows have drapes and blackout curtains that drop with the push of a button.

Now, there's no buffet at Vdara, if that matters, but Aria is right next door. You can also walk from the lobby into Bellagio via a walkway. There is a restaurant in the lobby, and a Starbucks.

Finally, there's a staircase, and an elevator that takes you to street level, so you can make it over to Cosmo if need be.

Place is great. I like getting away from the casino noise sometimes. It's location is perfect as well.

1 of my friends was trying to get me to consider the Vdara for a trip we have in June. I was set on Encore or Aria, but these replies might have me reconsider.

How far is the walk to get to the strip? I am hearing it’s a 2 minute walk to Aria, 5 minutes to Cosmo and Bellagio, is that true?

              Yeah that sounds about right.

Vdara is my go to spot. Great sized room, quality service, love walking back in from the madness to the quiet setting for when I want it. Like everyone says, access to Aria, Cosmo and Belliago is 5 mins or less. Aria is extremely easy to walk to. With how much I like the restaurants at both Aria and Cosmo, it works out great.

The walk to the strip depends on which way you go. Its certainly less than 10 mins. I tend to go though Aria and out past their valet and then its a straight shot to the strip. I was able to walk from the MGM back to Vdara in 15-18 mins back in Oct. Getting through the Bellagio seems longer but its only due to how far back on the strip it is set. It takes a minute to get to Ceasers from there but still I'm not walking the strip much when I go anymore.

A few friends and I are opting for Vdara on a comp night offer in October and these replies help confirm our choice.
