  • Aria v Bellagio

    Hey JC,

I will be in vegas again next week on business. I'll be there Wednesday March 29 through Friday March 31. I was wondering which hotel would be better to stay at in terms of people and vibe. I'm looking for a young party crowd but given that I will be there during the week i'm not sure either hotel would have this vibe.

The Bellagio is where my conference is being held but is more expensive but I would imagine there would be a better crowd there? Aria is newer and has a tram for me to get to the bellagio and is cheaper. I was thinking the aria won't have a young crowd and generally doesn't seem to busy inside but the price is hard to argue with. I'm just worried i won't bump into any like minded people at the pool or casino.

    What do you think?

I like Aria over Bellagio personally. I always felt the focus/crowd at Bellagio was older than Aria.

I have not stayed at either property for a conference only for vacation purposes.

True, I guess logistics shouldn't be too much of an issue. I was more wondering what the crowds and vibes would be like at the Bellagio? Since I haven't stayed there in a decade.

I have stayed at Aria before but I was with a group of friends so mingling and meeting new people was not a top priority. I could see how it would attract younger people since it is newer but the Bellagio being an established Vegas destination I would think it attracts a lot of people(figures since the rate is 40% higher).

In terms of night clubs neither of the properties will have events on Wed or Thurs so I don't think there would be much of party crowd at either Aria or Bellagio. I know the bars in the Cosmo are really good and a short walk from Aria. Ideally I don't want to have to venture out of the hotel property except to go to a nightclub.

Bellagio has older people. Aria has younger people. Cosmo has cooler people

I've stayed at nearly every top tier hotel on the strip now and Cosmo is the only one I've found with the energy you seem to be looking for. That said I prefer the aria because I want a quiet space to decompress and I'm not as interested in crowd. Wynn can have decent energy on weekends due to XS surrender and intrigue, EBC keeping it lively, but I like being more central and don't like being at the top or bottom of the strip. Encore and Wynn midweek probably would be full of conference attendees and would be boring.

Yea I was thinking that the Cosmo would be ideal but it is not an Mlife resort. Should I care about that? I am just sapphire level and thousands of points of away from the next tier. I would like to rack up points gambling using my mLife card but I suppose i could walk to the bellagio or aria and play there.

I'm leaning towards the Aria though since it is about $200 cheaper than Cosmo.

Thanks for all the help everyone!

I've bounced between Gold and Platinum Mlife the last 5 years and there isn't a huge difference. Your offers are still based on your gambling. You can rack up a multi-thousand dollar nightclub spend on your card and not get any offers. Same goes for expensive hotel stays. Gamble $500 for an hour on a highstakes machine and the offers will come rolling in. It is kinda lame. Not worth the effort. With that said though, I prefer Aria or Vdara (another Mlife prop in between those two) to stay at. Everything is a short walk so it isn't a big deal which property you stay at and which you play at. I often find the slightly cheaper places have more like minded party people in addition to Cosmo as mentioned.

Great choice, you will have an amazing stay at Aria. The casino is solid, pool is nice and if Liquid is open...check it out too. Otherwise just walk across to Cosmo..

I have stayed in Aria and Cosmo but not yet in Belaggio (still on my to do list). Based on best bang for buck imo is Aria one of the best. I really like the Cosmo (basically because of their Fountain view rooms). I would go for Aria.

Can anyone share insight on the Aria pools? Any preference of one versus the other and why? I’ll be checking in this weekend.
