  • MGM Grand - still decent or getting old?

I'm sneaking away to Vegas in early April for a few nights. Have stayed at TI and the Mirage 3x. Looking to switch it up but want to stay within the MGM family. How is the MGM grand these days? Traveling alone and looking for a good vibe with mix is up with. Is the MGM getting dated or is it still a decent place? Also considering Cosmo. FWIW, they are basically the same price right now.

MGM has actually become my go to for my last couple trips. Convenient location and cheap rates are usually what keeps me coming back.

MGM definitely lacks the technology and wow of the newer hotels like Aria, Cosmo, Wynn/Encore. I would say it is on par or better than TI & Mirage. Hakkasan being located inside the hotel is plus as well.

MGM is still a fun spot but if you are trying to stay inside MLife I would go Aria, great vibe, nice finishing, solid service and gambling. That being said, even though you are trying to stay in MLife, if Cosmo is the same price as MGM, I'd book Cosmo anyway. Best atmosphere plus Marquee is there, and most energy by far.

I love MGM. If you are an Mlife member then you can get great discounts. Great restaurants and the best casino, I think. Hakkasan is there as is Wet.

What is the crowd like at the Comso? I'm 36 and want to be a place that isn't stuffed with snobby 20-somethings.

Then the Cosmo just might be what you're looking for! MGM still has the "total Vegas package" feel to it, but if it's the same price I'd say check out Cosmo. Excellent location, great vibe, and just an impressive "wow" factor to the whole place
