Cromwell???

I appreciate all the responses from previous posts that I have received. I will be heading to Vegas in July for 4 nights and because I am a rewards card member Cromwell is giving me Thursday and Sunday nights free. I know this is a small hotel. Would like to know people's experiences. How is the overall vibe? The club and pool scene? We want a good crowd at the hotel with mingling potential or because of the hotel size is it limited?? Any guidance, suggestions and past experience would be helpful. We go once a year, so want to make the best decision possible. The past 2 years we stayed at Wynn and Encore. Looking for a change without compromising the fun!! Also is The Palms still good? Its been at least 8-10 years since I have been there. Used to be really fun... Thanks!!

Palms is definitely not what it was in years past sadly. With the closure of Rain, the Playboy Club, and Moon and the change in ownership it's just got a completely different vibe.

I've not stayed at the Cromwell but have spent time there while waiting for Drai's to open. Vibe seemed pretty low key, pretty much only other people waiting for Drai's to open, lol. I'm not thinking it's the best for mingling purposes, but Drai's is fun, and you've got the option of Omnia right across the street. I'd prefer Cromwell over most of the other CET properties, unless you've got a decent comp at Caesar's itself or Nobu, and then those would probably be my preference.

Thanks for the response. Probably could get comps from caesars since it is affiliated with Cromwell just figured Caesars as more family geared... not looking for a family/kids hotel (no offense).
Is the pool scene good there. Seems like there are a lot of pools but no party vibe pools. Correct me if I am wrong. Please tell me more about Caesars and the ambience (day vibe, nightlife) Thanks I am open to all options.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday most people on here are going to recommend going to Encore Beach Club, Wet Republic, or Marquee Dayclub. So then you're only talking a pool for Thursday, and that's only if you arrive early enough to take advantage of it. Caesar's has a toptional pool, Venus, but it's typically not particularly busy, so not sure if that's even worth trying. Cromwell might have a slight advantage for the pool Thursday, but most people aren't recommending Drai's for a pool party Friday, Saturday, or Sunday unless you are specifically looking for hip-hop and then staying at the Cromwell and going to Drai's all weekend is definitely the right call.

For nightlife Omnia at Caesar's is strong favorite right now for Friday and Saturday, so that would be nice and convenient at Caesar's. With Cromwell just across the street though it's not exactly hard to go from there to Omnia either.

Over the past few years I've never really seen Caesar's as a family/kids friendly hotel, I think of it as one of the more mixed ones without a clear demographic target. You've got comped people, people there for a show at the Colosseum, people who watched The Hangover, people who want a nicer hotel but aren't willing to go all the way to a premium one, and now with Omnia and some trendy restaurants a bit of the party crowd.

I think Cromwell would mostly be comped CET people more than people partying at Drai's since this forum seems to favor spending in the club and not on the room and Cromwell never seems to be a very great deal if you're paying for it. Since fewer younger people gamble I'd say it's going to trend older.

I'd say really it comes down to whether or not you want hip-hop at Drai's pool party during the day or are more wanting EDM at EBC, Wet, or Marquee. If the answer isn't hip-hop then I think you'd probably have a better time at Caesar's or their upscale boutique hotel Nobu.

Thanks for the detailed info. I was just given all 4 nights at Planet Hollywood free. Hard to pass that up. I read the reviews about the pool there but if there is a decent vibe then the pool should be fun... any experience with PH pool? The other option is still Cromwell because I know the pool and club are good. So Cromwell 2 out of 4 nights free or PH all nights free?? Thoughts??

I'd probably do the 4 nights for free. It'll be a bit of a step down in room quality from Wynn and Encore, but you're right across from Marquee Dayclub and Nightclub at Cosmopolitan, and with the couple hundred of dollars saved you can buy presale tickets and Uber to EBC or Wet Republic if you aren't caring fro the vibe at the PH pools.

Honestly I really like the Cromwell. Full disclosure I'm not a Vegas vet (4 trips) and I have stayed at the Cromwell twice. The pool is phenomenal in terms of the view and space. If you are staying mid week it's pretty sweet walking around a pool party quality spot but without the hustle and bustle. On a Thursday you should definitely get a good crowd and as a guest you are in for free. If you are a partier I cannot stress enough how awesome it is that the elevators are a 30 second walk from the strip. There are drawbacks with that such as less amenities like a food court but you have the Linq right there as well as a McD's and Panda express just after.

Go with the Cromwell!

It feels like a "boutique" hotel due to it's smaller size and nicer rooms but it's a very low key place during the day. Things pick up here quite a bit as the evenings approaches, I can imagine that most people who visit the Cromwell are people who are going to Drais. Also considering it's location (nearby Bellagio, Cosmo,Caesars), it actually has very low minimum limits during the day which is great. Small casino floor, and I've always gotten good drink service here.

If you elect to go with the four free nights at the PH, make sure you sandwich and see if you can get an upgrade. I think the standard rooms at PH are very out of date and a bit run down.

I believe Monday-Thursday Drais' operates as a hotel pool for Cromwell guests. I know previously Friday-Sunday Cromwell guests got into Drai's pool party free, but I'm not sure if it changed or not. Overall mid week it is pretty chill, but the view cannot be beat. Personally love the space.

I have stayed at Cromwell, Caesars and PH. Cromwell rooms are equivalent in terms of comfort and style to the Octavius and Agustus towers in Caesars. Being Diamond with TR means use of the D lounges, Caesars has the edge for sure. Caesars also has the better pool of the three, with swim up gaming, comfortable cushioned free lounge chairs, (PH has plastic ones), and an overall better vibe for meeting people. Cromwell is ok, room is comfortable but pool scene is dead compared to Caesars. PH has very basic rooms (assuming you are not getting the boulevard suite), and the smallest pool of the three. PH does have the most expansive food options 24 hours, and best casino experience of the three. If you are TR Diamond, you can take the full comp @ PH, and use the pool and D lounge @ Caesars. PH is also just a short walk across the street to Cosmo.

Thanks for the responses! So after taking in your suggestions plus other various reviews: I think PH is out for sure! Caesars sounds good just don't like that it is so big. However if the vibe is good and the mingling scene is fine than it a solid maybe. Leaning away from Cromwell. And finally I may suck it up and splurge for Comopolitan.
Thoughts on a few free nights at Caesars vs Cosmopolitan?? Party scenes?

I've stayed at Cromwell too and honestly that's probably the last time I'll stay there. Nice enough rooms but for me the room is way down the line in terms of priority. Everything else was below par including food (almost non existent), crowd/vibe, pool scene etc. I'd second what Max said in that Ceasars will have people from all different demographics. I think that would be a good option. Now, Caesars vs Cosmo is a bit different. For us to help you there, we'd have to know how strict you are on your budget. If you're getting 2 nights free at Caesars, that'll save you probably 400-500. Since you only go once a year, would you rather save that money or put it towards a better experience at Cosmo? (to be fair, you'd probably spend a little bit more money at Cosmo because you'd want to upgrade to at least a terrance suite over their "city" rooms") With that said, since your past experiences have been Wynn/Encore, Cosmo won't feel like a step down, where as Caesars would. Preference is yours. You'll have fun either way

Cosmo will have a younger crowd I think, much like Encore. Pool scene at Cosmo (Bamboo if hungover/recovering..and Boulevard if not) is great too. No gambling at either pool @ Cosmo though. While Caesars is big, its not too big to where you feel frustrated navigating it. Its easy to find whatever you are looking for. If you have comped nights @ Caesars, use them for sure if you can get one of the two better towers; the forum rooms are pretty basic and the Laurel collection is a step above those. Octavius and Agustus rooms are nice.
Cosmo fountain view terraces are among the best experinces you can have in Vegas. Great views, amazing service, small kitchen....Party scene at Cosmo is among the best.

Good info! Since we only go once a year the best experience possible is needed. I am the only one who can get comps so either way for my friends they are paying more. Rooms to me are the least important (although they should be decent) because of the amount of time spent in them. Good hotel vibe and pool scene is important. Along with club and bars in the hotel. Prefer to not leave hotel if I don't have to. Definitely don't need a pool party but a fun atmosphere. We are definitely looking to mingle so I feel Caesars is family oriented and spread out... thoughts??
So I guess it's the hotel we will have the best time (clubs/bars/pool scene). Also we are older but young at heart. Not sure that matters. Want a hotel that has women that are not stuck up and are there to party and just let loose. With too many families that may be difficult. Or not...maybe they do their thing and the non families are partying.
I am so indecisive and my friends don't help with planning ha ha. Sorry for the rambling.
