Large Bach - need help

Hi Guys,

I have been to Vegas many times on bachelor parties (smaller scale) and other times w/ the wife. This time around we have a large bachelor group making the trip. It stands at 15 guys now.

We are trying to get our hotel figured out and would like your expertise. Looking for central strip location, good pool, casino but are open to other ideas in order to save some funds to put towards nightlife.

We were thinking about booking 4 rooms, 2 queens on same floor and/or conjoined if the hotel can accommodate. I have seen on these forums that people have booked Cosmo for cheap and/or suggested looking into the Venetian/Palazzo for their larger rooms.

I did a quick search and found these rates for the following hotels:

My Wife & I did a joint CO-ED bachelor / Bachelorette party in Vegas Labor Day weekend 2015

We booked at the MGM

We were able to get our room a Suite - Thursday - Monday - 4 Days ($200 +Plus Resort & Taxes ) (Two Days free)

Then we had another 5 room for our bridal party some were 2 night stays ,3 night stay & 1 was the full 4 night stay.

When we booked it they were all booked under my Mlife Card. And we tied each room to the corresponding guest. We were able to be all on the same floor in the Hotel.

On average each room ranged from $250-$500 per couple before taxes & resort fees. Each room was a Standard King MGM room. other than our room which was a Suite.

We also booked a Dinner at the Italian Fiammi which we were awarded 20,000 points on our players card for.

Some other activities we did were Pool Cabana for $1000 at MGM for 10 (not at wet republic just the pool)

Went to The Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay for a 2nd Tier table for $2k with group of 16.

You secured the rooms, booked them and had the points go to your MLife card? Were you super generous or did your friends pay you back?

Another idea thrown out there is moving that weekend... would something NOT Cindo de Mayo/Derby weekend be cheaper?

All I did was put the rooms under my Mlife Card but each room was under their respective name, And all I had to do was put down a small deposit on my room. It was Labor Day weekend when we went which was a popular weekend.

Cinco de Mayo weekend is a pretty big weekend and there is a big fight there on May 6th at the T-Mobile Arena which might be raising your hotel prices a bit. Club and pool mins will also be a little bit on the higher side due to this.

Definitely look at the weekend after or if you really wanted, the weekend of 5/18 to5/22 is the MayOD Invasion where JC members get together and hit various pools and clubs during that time. Had a blast in 2015 when I went.

It gets shit on a lot because its dated, but for large groups the Jockey Club is the best thing on the strip.

If you got 3x two bedroom units you would end up with:
9x total queen beds, 3x sofa sleepers, and up to 3x roll away beds ... nobody has to sleep together with this setup.
6x total bathrooms ... really handy for getting ready.
... and each room would have a living room / full kitchen common space. Best part of this is everyone can hang out and pre-game without having to sit on top of each other.

I'll assume a Friday-Monday trip, I would expect the cost for 3x of the 2 bedroom rooms to be ~$2600 including all taxes and fees. If you shaved down and did 2x 2bedrooms and 1x a 1 bedroom deluxe (2x beds + 1.5 baths) it would be like $2100.

Jockey Club gets you access to some (maybe all) of the Cosmo pools, has a direct elevator to the Cosmo casino floor, and has the best location on the strip.

Jockey Club is a pretty good bet because it is centrally located and cheap, however it is not a hotel.
Palazzo and Venetian is great for sharing. Suites can come with two beds, a pull out sofa, and you can fit a roll-out in there.
With resort fees you can get away with $300 a night.
Also call in for gambling specials. It can drop the price by 30-100 once you reach a gambling amount.
