  • Best Suite and Rooms

    Hi All

We have a group of 18 coming from Scotland next June (2017) for a bachelor party. Looking on here for some advice on the best suited hotel for us, based on the following:
    • 5 night stay (Wed-Sun inclusive)
    • Looking for 1 large suite (for pre-game, party) and adjoining triple rooms of a decent size for the rest
    • Total accommodation budget is $10k-$12k
Completely open to suggestions at this stage so any recommendations on how and where we do this would be greatly appreciated.

    welcome
that's a long way off maybe you should take a trip earlier to help plan

vegas has huge hotels and everyone could do something for you.
Since your planning this far out I would recommend thinking about what your hoping for the trip
I can think of three options:
    1. You could rent a house
    2. Higher end hotel
    3. Lower end hotel- for example a block of 9 regular hotel rooms with 18 beds for around $50 a night a room- thus expanding your nightclub/pool party budget.

Also watch for EDC- electric daisy carnival which is a big event every june

Check out the Skyline Terrace Suite at MGM. It's 2 stories with a 700 sqft terrace overlooking the strip and has 1 king bed and 1.5 baths with wet bar and dining area. There's also the option to connect it to another 2 queen room and I'm sure you could get a couple other rooms in the same hall if you need to.

The Skyline Terrace Suite usually runs about $750 per night. It's one of my favorite rooms in vegas with the exception of Skylofts. PM me if you have questions or want to know more about my experience!

I hosted my CO-Bachelor / Bachelorette Party at MGM last year Labor Day weekend! We got great assistance through MGM VIP SERVICES, we booked a block of 6 rooms & 1 suite for myself & my bride.

We also made dinner reservations at the steakhouse & nightclub reservations through THE LIGHT , Finally we had a cabana on Monday Labor Day for those who could do 1 final day of partying.

Check out the Westend Penthouse Suites at Cosmopolitan. I have stayed at the three bedroom suite a few times, and it is the best room I have seen - plus it is within that budget. You can't beat having the huge balcony. I have uploaded a video on youtube at the following link:

              Hey there!
I go to Vegas quite often and have stayed in a number of suites on the strip. My fav, especially for groups, is Signature at MGM. Some of the suites are owned by MGM, some by private owners. Depending on the dates, you can usually get the private owner suites cheaper than thru the MGM website. Checkout VRBO.com for private listings. You can book joining suites for large groups and the 1 bedroom and larger suites have a full kitchen and are designed for longer term stay and less like a hotel room, so you can save some $$ by self-catering a bit. Vons grocery stores will deliver groceries to your suite. You can order them online at vons.com. The main pool at MGM is huge, so we usually will stay at Signature if our main goal is to lay at the pool during the day. Signature also has it's own pools, but they are quieter/ less action than MGM pool. Everything else you want to do is a taxi ride anyway. There is also a Monorail station here, so easy/ cheap to get up the strip using that.

I also really like the suites at Vdara. They are newer than Signature, but mostly booked through the hotel, rather than private owners. Sometimes, these suites are very cheap- and they also have kitchens (although more of a bachelor style - do not have an oven- just 2 burners and a microwave and short fridge). Drawback (or not) is no casino in or attached to the hotel- although the Aria is a 2 min walk and Cosmo is 4 min walk, Bellagio 10 min walk. But the point is, you're leaving Vdara to do anything other than be in your room (although the lobby bar here is worth a stop).

TL; DR - Benefit to Vdara is it's center strip and an easy walk to everything on the strip and the Signature is a HIKE to get to the strip (roughly 15 mins through the MGM casino). But Signature is great for being connected to the massive MGM Grand, and all the pools, restaurants, etc. there and the kitchens are larger/ better equiped. So depends what your goals are for the trip. If it's value you're after, Signature is probably your best bet.

I highly recommend Skyloft @ MGM. Get one suite as home base and get a bunch of regular rooms for the rest at MGM. They have 2 bedrooms around 3,000 sqft, and the 3 bedroom @ 6,000 sqft.

That was an incredible write up. I went through the entire thing. I am hoping to get some friends to get in on the Skyloft soon.
