21st Birthday Hotel??

Me and two other girls are going to Vegas for our first time June 11-14th for my 21st birthday! Woohoo!

I am trying to narrow down where to stay. So far it's between the Cosmo and PH... Anybody have any other suggestions??

I really want to be within walking distance of most clubs/casinos.

It all depends on what clubs you want to hit up. Cosmo will let you be right there for Marquee and PH is right across the street from it. But in Vegas, every club is a short cab ride away. If you figure out what clubs you want to hit up first that can help you finalize your decision...but Marquee is always a nice place to stay. Just remember when you're going 2 new clubs (Light-Mandalay Bay/Hakkasan-MGM)will be open as well that are supposed to be as good as the Tier 1 clubs are now.

So it sounds like you'll be in Vegas Tues - Fri. Might want to keep in mind which clubs will be open / happening on those nights. Below is a brief summary:

Tues - 1OAK (Mirage), Moon (mainly for the view - Palms)
Wed - Act (Palazzo), Lavo (Palazzo), Surrender (Wynn)
Thurs - Tao (Venetian), Tryst (Wynn), Hakkasan (MGM), Light (not sure if it will be open Thurs - Mandalay Bay)

Regardless of where you stay you won't be able to walk everywhere (the walk is always longer than it looks). PH and Cosmo are both great options - young crowd and about as central of a location as you'll find.

I think it depends on your budget. If you can afford it, do Cosmo, if you are on more of a budget, stick with PH. Both good choices, and you'll have a great time either way.

Or book PH, if you find a good rate at Cosmo or can do a price match, cancel your PH reservation and stick with Cosmo.

Cosmo is an awesome hotel but we found that it does tend to have a bit more of an older crowd bc it is more pricey than other hotels. I think the higher costs tend to price a few of the younger party crowd out. So that's something to bear in mind. Sweet hotel though. And the sandwich worked there when we checked in...

I heard Palms was good and Hard Rock
sucks both are off the strip tho

Since it's your 21st, you may want to stick to hotels on the strip. You can walk around and check stuff out during the day, or at night if you're keeping it casual. You're not going to be walking to any clubs unless they're in your hotel. Trust me on this one, everything is farther than it looks, and you'll destroy your feet in your heels before you even get to the club.

However, off strip, the Hard Rock is one of my favorites. Cabs can actually be cheaper because they take the back/side streets everywhere instead of sitting in strip traffic. Cosmo is something like a $6 cab ride because it's just up the street from HR. The rooms at the Hard Rock can be cheaper than the Cosmo and PH, too, especially mid-week. The crowd is young, and fun. Circle bar in the middle is cool for pre-gaming.

I've never stayed at the Palms, so I can't speak of the crowd, but I've driven past it many times, and it is really far from everything. You'll spend a good chunk of change for cabs from the Palms.

If the proximity to the clubs is important, figure out what clubs you want to go to, then look at rooms in those hotels.

Definitely PH or Cosmo. Hard Rock and Palms are good cheap alternatives but if it's your first time then you'll get a better experience staying on the strip and being able to walk from hotel to hotel
