  • MGM "petite king"

I have booked the "petite king" room for my wife and at the end of Aug. Has anyone stayed there, I hear they redid all the rooms.
I looked on the MGM website and it looks nice.....small but nice....
I am assuming that each room has its own temp controls?

Thanks for any info anyone has.... or any personal pictures anyone can post of the room..

They're definitely very small. These rooms were most recently the "West Wing" (and MGM had an annoying habit of trying to pass them off as an "upgrade", which they decidedly were not), and were originally the Marina Hotel, which was built back in 1975. They might feel a little cramped for two people; I stayed there solo once and wasn't a big fan, and think I would have really disliked it had I been with another person.

Thanks for the feed back.... and the heads up..... If I asked for an upgrade when checking in, would they be inclined to do an free upgrade, I ask because we are go Monday - Friday at the end of Aug. and I am only guessing but I wouldn't think it should be all that busy (or would I be wrong in assume that)

Small but nice is about right.

I booked a petite king last year checking in on a Tuesday - hit the guy at check-in with 20 bucks and got upgraded to a one bedroom tower suite which was much bigger!

Monday to Friday - I'd say you'd have an excellent chance of a decent upgrade if you hit the smooth button! They might even throw in some buffet / drink vouchers etc
