  • Cheapest Hotel for EDC 2013?

What do you guys think will be the Cheapest hotel for EDC 2013 in June? I want to go as cheap as possible because I'm coming back to Vegas for ten days in JULY for AOD! I'll stay a night or two, thanks.

Btw I'm not trying to stay in a filthy motel or anything so by cheap I meant a nice place thats more affordable than the other places haha. I've noticed that hotel prices GO WAY UP during EDC week!

Have you thought about staying off strip? Something like south point would be good and affordable.

depends on your standards and what you really want to spend per night. I mean, even The Quad wants $200/night for that weekend for the most basic room.
I did a quick look and saw Palace Station for about $140 night. Hooters & Tuscany Suites were about $150. The D downtown can be had for about $120.

So glad I booked early. I got June 19-26 (7 nights) at Rio for $580 after taxes. And no resort fees since I booked before March 1.

I have stayed at: Mandalay Bay, Aria, Flamingo, Excalibur, Hooters, PH Towers / Elara, Monte Carlo, Venetian, Luxor, LV Hilton, Rio, Mirage, MGM, Hard Rock Hotel, Planet Hollywood, Stratosphere, Tuscany, Tropicana, and rented a 6BR house. I think thats all.

The cheapest right now for Friday and Saturday Night is $50 a night.
Remember EDC is from like 7pm-5am plus how long it takes to get there and back so you will probably be spending very little time in the room. Even less if you throw in a pool party during the day.
But its worth having a room!

You might be able to save some money on your July trip. MGM Grand charges $25 a day resort fee so for 10 nights your looking at $250 on top of whatever you paid for your room.
There are a few hotels across the street from MGM grand on Tropicana- Howard Johnson- Motel 6 they charge around $35 a night flat.

I suggest you bid on priceline or use hotwire... I am considering going that weekend as well, looks like Priceline express deals has the Venetian for $208, at least thats my best guess for which hotel it is, but it says strip north 5 star, which can only be Venetian/Palazzo or Wynncore. Usually bidding can save you another 10-20% off that, read up on betterbidding.com on how to isolate what hotel you want.
