  • New York New York Resort fees?

    Hi,

    Has anybody stayed at NYNY?

We're going in May and have been told to expect to pay resort fees? Are these not included when you book?

We're from the UK so have no idea what a resort fee is.

    Can anybody enlighten me?

    Thanks

Resort fee is a 15 to 25 dollar charge per night the hotel charges for certain "amenities" they offer. Access to a exercise room/gym or a daily newspaper. It varies, but its usually stuff you never use. Outside of spending a lot or gambling to get them waived, youre stuck paying them.

Those were just some examples of things that might say the resort fee goes towards. Here is the list they provided:
$18. Includes: Internet, fitness center access, unlimited local and 800-number calls, boarding pass printing, notary services, some faxes and daily newspaper.

Jerseygirl, resort fees are a slick way for Vegas hotels to advertise their rooms for cheaper than they actually are. For better or worse, they're here to stay with the Vegas casino economy supposedly rebounding. I always just add $15-20 to each room rate so there's no sticker shock when I check in.
