Surprise engagement at Cosmo. Got a few Questions.

First of all. I'm getting engaged.. so that's awesome and happening (provided she says yes). It's gonna happen at The Cosmopolitan (my fave place) on the first night. I want to make it really special and awesome. We're having dinner at Scarpetta (she's a huge fan of the owner) and we'll be spending quite a bit on the room- a wraparound- and all the dinners. I know they reward rooms and dinners more than most places. I have a few questions and want some overall advice.

- I want a to get a host to set things up as discreetly as possible, and it's time I got one, since I'll be here a few times a year. Anyone suggest a specific one or know what they can do for me?

- Any advice from anyone who has done this? Tips at check in (doing a 50$ sandwich).

- Anything else you can think of?

Are you looking for a host that works for the casino or someone who can setup dinners, clubs, etc. all over town.
It you're mostly looking for someone in Cosmo to setup stuff for you, call the concierge...that's what they're their for.

You need to get your fiance-to-be out of area while you checkin. Give her a $20 and send her to a slot, or ask her to get you some drinks from the bar while you handle the check-in. Your $50 sandwich will be more effective if you can tell them why you are there.

I dont think a cosmo host will do much for you until you have spent a good deal of money gambling there, maybe if you are rated at another casino you mite be able to get a host with some status match thing, but honestly I wouldnt count on it... I have spent a lot of time @ cosmo since they opened and a lot of money there on things other than gambling.... and while you do get some rewards for non gaming spending, I do not think a host will be one of them. if you have any questions , feel free to ask

I would recommend calling the concierge ahead of time if you need some help from someone inside the cosmo. I think you can book all the restraunts online yourself.

You will love Scarpetta, just ate there with my GF 2 weeks ago...... We had the tasting menu & wine paring..... I would definatley recommend it. The food is awesome there.
