  • Anyone stay at Elara recently?

Been reading old threads about how tight Elara was with security and letting people back into the room without either wristbands or each person showing a room key. Anyone been here recently to confirm they're still doing this? Also, anyone with any luck with sandwich upgrades?

Bump. Because I'm also curious about how tight their security is.

^^ I guess not that bad. Most places are like that anyways.

I stayed there in 2012, and was wondering the same as I've read otherwise online. If I remember correctly, everyone needed a functioning key to enter the elevator bank; however, you can just get the max amount of room keys upon arrival and then more later on. I think for our group of seven we each had five keys per person by the end of the trip. Never had an issue.

Regarding the sandwich, didn't even need it. We had a two bedroom suite, and simply asked for a better view and it was received. My buddy initially had a studio suite, asked for any upgrades upon arrival (without the sandwich) and was given a two bedroom suite instantly (and there were only two of them in the room). Obviously, this will vary based on the weekend, but I think you'd be fine without it.

Awesome to hear. I have a 2 bedroom suite and was wondering if a $50 sandwich would get a 3 bedroom.

Yes they make you scan your key card. Not everyone in the party needs it just whoever is walking in.
