Signature vs. NY NY

For roughly the same price- I can either get a 1 bedroom suite at Signature or a Marquis Suite at NY NY. This trip will just be me and my gf- we are both over 30 and not really looking to party 24/7 though we want a fun atompshere. The concern with the Signature is the walk to the Strip and maybe it's too quiet compared to a regular casino hotel.

I've never stayed at either so any advice or thoughts?

First off, I don't believe you can go wrong with either choice. The Signature is a bit out of the way but, you get access to the Signature/MGM pool. As far as a fun atmosphere, I don't think so. The Signature has more of a laid back, quiet atmosphere. With the Signature you get an excellent room/balcony/kitchen and a 1.5 baths. Second, the NYNY for me is in a great location with direct access to the strip. The room is still great and i've heard that the whirlpool tub is interesting. The atmosphere of the NYNY seems more up-tempo to me, quite possibly due to having a casino on property. Again, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

Yep, I would go with the Signature, I never stay anywhere else. If you want the crazy party crowd you have the MGM pools and if you want the quieter pool area, each tower has its own pool. Unless you are 80 years old and need a cane, the walk from the Signature to the Strip is not that far. The restaurants are a short walk and the biggest plus is that you don't have to walk through the cigarette smoke to get to your room. Oh and the taxi cab is right at the front door and you never have to wait in any line. Make sure you stop by Diegos at MGM Grand for some Mexican food and good drinks.

Thanks guys- here is the next question. Which seems to be the better deal:

1) Can book a 1 bedroom suite from VRBO Tower 1- $721 total (resort fees, final cleaning, tax, all included). No daily maid service.

2) Or can book 1 bedroom suite via MGMs site- for $757 total and it includes a $50 dining credit. Looks like this route though I will have to pay the extra $25 per day resort fee but with this route I do get daily maid service. Also, I can't be assured I will be in Tower 1, just can make a request.

If you don't mind having an unmade bed and the same towels for a few days (they supply enough to last) then go with the VRBO. I can deal with not having maid service unless you are extremely messy..lol
