  • Caesars Entertainment Adding Resort Fees

    http://www.vegaschatter.com/story/20...ng+Resort+Fees

Effective March 1, all Caesars Entertainment (Vegas) properties will be adding a resort fee.

Resort fees will reportedly start at $10 for The Quad and go up to $25 at Caesars Palace. The report indicates this covers admission for two to spa facilities, in-room internet access for one device, and all local phone calls.

That announcement leaves LVH, M Resort, and South Point as about the only resort fee free properties outside of Downtown.

Caesars Entertainment reports that resort fees will be charged to bookings secured on March 1 and beyond.

    · BALLY'S: $15.

    · CAESARS PALACE: $25. This includes the Nobu Hotel as well.

    · FLAMINGO: $18.

    · HARRAH'S: $18.

    · PARIS LAS VEGAS: $20.

    · PLANET HOLLYWOOD: $20.

    · THE QUAD: $10.

    · RIO LAS VEGAS: $18.

I am surprised they went this long without them. It was just a matter of time

what about if you already have a fully prepaid reservation for a date after march 1? im assuming you will still have to pay the fee upon check in?

Oh yeah, you know the date they use is the date you check in. It will be applied to your bill for sure

Where are you staying? I would get the rewards card if I was you, use it for gambling/spending and see about getting them dropped upon check out. MGM properties are good about it

2.21 Update, 12.30 p.m. PST: Caesars Entertainment reports that resort fees will be charged to bookings secured on March 1 and beyond. (from article linked above)

You might be safe....since you prepaid I'd bet they'll waive the fee if you complain loud enough.

Don't have anything locked down yet. I was just browsing some hotels for the summer invasions. And I actually have a TR card already (although I haven't used it all too much) but I don't think I'll book anything within the next couple weeks as I'm still trying to figure out the best dates with a couple of my friends.

Although I really like the vibe and location of PH...I always thought it was slightly over-priced for the room quality. And now with the fees I doubt I'll be staying there unless I can get some sweet deal, especially with the great deals MGM is having on their rooms and suites.
