  • Anyone tried a $100 sandwich at Venetian?

So I booked the basic bella suite thinking about dropping $100 sandwich since there are 3 of us sharing the room so it doesn't amount to much when divided by us. Has anyone tried a sandwich that big? Did it work? So far haven't found anyone who has posted about it. Any experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, last may i did the $100 sandwich and was upgraded to piazza suite (1400sq ft) from a bella suite. Checked in around 11:30 at night and got a younger woman at the check-in. When you ask for an upgrade, suggest/know the suite you want/think is worth the upgrade.
It was an awesome 5 nights for an extra $100!

VeniLazzo has a strong reputation of being very Sandwich Friendly. I've stayed there just once but booked the cheapest room at the Venetian - did a $50 sandwich at check-in and was upgraded to a great suite at the Palazzo, High Floor Strip View...

So ended up giving a $100 sandwich, before arriving I knew the Piazza suite was sold out, which would of been the suite that we most likely would have got had it not been sold out. Anyways gave the $100 sandwich and customer service agent basically placed a binder in front of us and let us pick any room we wanted which was awesome. He offered the complimentary suite which was pretty big but it had no windows (we're big on pregaming with the blinds open with a view of the strip). Anyways we took a suite on the Palazzo side, this was a $114 total upgrade. On top of that he basically gave us a bunch of free drink tickets, literally like 20, a handful. He asked if I wanted any change and since we didn't really upgrade a room much different then the one we originally booked I asked for $50 back, thought that was fair.

I am thinking about doing this when I arrive in May. Right now I am comp'd a Rialto and I want to upgrade to a Prima suite. Anyone have any experience with using a sandwich on comps or upgrading from a Rialto to another suite at the Venetian?
