  • Can't book PH suites in advance?!

    Hi guys,

New to the forum but it's been a huge help. Done Vegas a few times and am going back from Mar 7-10 with roughly 6-8 people (all Marines looking to party). Looking to do a suite that could accomodate all of us but I guess we can also look at the Palazzo Bella suite connecting option that I've seen floating around here. I noticed PH getting a lot of love so I tried to book a suite there and the guy on the phone said you can't book suites there in advance. How does that make sense? This true? Anyways, been looking at Mandalay Bay, Elara (2 bedroom suite). Wasn't feeling Cosmo too much. Anyone else have any ideas? Ideally on the strip in one big suite that can accomodate all of us and be a good place to pregame/post party or would it make more sense to get seperate rooms? Thanks guys!

PH saves them for the high rollers. In the past I have had no problem upgrading at the front desk, and for much cheaper, but there are no guarantees.

Elara would probably be your best option for what your doing. Full kitchen and Living room.

Thanks for the reply. Any downside to Elara? Just got confirmation that there's gonna be 8 of us. There has to be some big ass suites out there, no? I feel like a ton of suites I've seen only have like 1 king bed. Weird

Not really. You can get the preimer 2 bedroom, which comes with an extra living room. Should be fine for your group. Or just get connecting rooms somewhere.

thanks brother....cosmo gets a lot of play on this site but the rooms just dont seem spacious enough. Guess Elara pool blows but wondering if it's even open when we will be there?

Pools won't open till mid march depending on conditions too. EBC said they're doing a spring preview March 16th weekend but that's all that's been announced for now. Elara sounds like it would suit your needs but only downside to Elara is that taxi's don't really come to the front of Elara so usually you have to hike to the actual PH for a faster response on taxi if you're on a schedule with clubs and what not.

You're right on cosmo, for that number of people, cosmo would be out of the question for me too.

right on man. I think I'm down to the 2 bed premiere at Elara vs trying for connecting Bella suites at Palazzo. Price pretty much negligible. Man, I'd love to rock out at PH but cant take the risk ya know

Elara is a good spot. I stayed there when it was PH Towers a couple years ago...5-10 min walk through the mall to get to PH and 15-20 min walk to get to Cosmo. If you need a cab just call the front desk before you head down and they'll have one waiting for you.
