  • Using VRBO for Suites

    All,

Im looking at VRBO - is it legit? Whats the catch?

I can get 2 connecting Jr Suites for $870 for 5 nights over 8th to 13th August. So basically a 2 bedroom suite in MGM signature.

    Has anyone used them?

Some of the MGM signature suites were bought out by private people and they are likely renting them out using VRBO. If you do purchase it, just double check as they would have their own people running it and you won't be able to get help from the MGM company itself.

For Signature, MGM told the people buying the places that they would rent them out the buyers. Only problem, MGM didn't sell all of them. So, when MGM rents it out they rent out theirs first then the private owners. Thus, many of the owners have their places that do not get rented out. Subsequently, they go to sites like VRBO to rent it out and often for much cheaper than going to MGM direct.

VRBO is legit. I booked a condo through that site for a Hawaii trip a few years ago. Just double check all of the fees before you book. There are usually non-refundable cleaning fees. I don't think they use the same cleaning service as the hotel does, so sometimes that gets weird from the reviews I've read.

I used VRBO before on a previous vacation and got a great 6bd house near the Orleans casino. Got a great deal. If you see a good deal, go for it.

Used VRBO for our upcoming trip in April. Got 1,500 sq ft 37th floor at MGM Signature with balcony for $1,400 for four nights. Not the cheapest but quality huge suite with two bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Overkill for two guys and not the cheapest but the company that rents/manages these for the owners was very good to deal with. I think it was Cebtury 21 out of an L.A. Office. Can't have too much space!!

There are better deals but VRBO works. just make sure you read the reviews and do some checking to make sure the place you deal with is legit.

Anyone have any references for VRBO for Signature- people they have rented from before from there?

I dealt with Century 21 Advantage Gold who manages a number of suites in the rental pool at the Signature. In their case you do not deal directly with the owner. I dealt with Nicole and Maddie there - very courteous to deal with and helpful. Because they deal with a number of the owners they also have some choice. I chose to use them because they were one if the best reviewed for MGM Signature Suite rentals on VRBO. I will report back in April after we have completed our stay there. All I can say is its been very professional so far.

I have been in contact with them- they seem nice so far.

Sure this has been asked a billion times- but how is the walk from Signature to the MGM Pools and the casino?

Depends on what tower you are in, if it's the closet tower it isn't that bad, just a 5 min walk since there are people movers.

                      BUT......

If you are going to the pools or WET, there is a back entrance by the closest tower that gets you in with your room key
