I'm going April 4-8 and looks like The Cosmo is were I'm staying
My little bro and his friends a little bit younger are going the same time and thinking about staying here (there in there low 20s, my group high 20s) but we plan on hanging out a lot during the trip. I guess my question is how is the scene (pool, bars and nightlife at the Hard Rock) and where is it located? On the strip, near anything???
looks like my room at the Cosmo is over 1,000 and he is saying he can book Hard Rock HRH for only 550. I guess my question is, should he be worried about something here

They have one of the best pool scenes as far as a party. A lot of jersey shore crowd if that is your thing. Rooms are nice. Only bad thing is that it is not on the strip. Only a few blocks or a 10 dollar cab ride away. I love Cosmo but the pricing for it is ridiculous. You can stay at the Wynn or MGM for much less.

MGM is my usual spot when I go. The last 4 times I went I stayed at MGM and it is always great so I keep coming back, but no rooms are available that Sat/Sun (only one type pf king room) which kind of shocked me. You say Wynn is cheaper ,but I dont see that with the travel sites I am looking at.

Whenever I look Wynn is much cheaper. It was for the invasion. Guess it is not this time. I saw Encore on kayak for cheaper then cosmo though.

Planet Hollywood is cheaper and right across the street from Cosmo. Casino has a good vibe but the pool scene isn't that great. It's literally connected to Cosmo by a skywalk so that makes it very convenient. Could be an option if they want to be on the strip.

Every travel site out there is having sales on the Hard Rock right now. I love that hotel. The crowd is younger, it's smaller so you don't have to hike a billion miles to your room when you're hammered. The circle bar is a great place to hang out and meet random people. My biggest beef is there's no "fast" food there. If you need a quick snack, you're screwed.

It's not on the strip, but cab-wise, you get everywhere faster and cheaper because you take side streets and back roads instead of sitting in strip traffic. It's a $5 cab ride to Cosmo. Not necessarily walking distance, but the street the Hard Rock is on dead ends into the Cosmo parking lot.

Woah, I just ran your dates through Expedia, and it looks like you picked an expensive weekend to go. If he can get the Hard Rock for that cheap, I'd tell him to pull the trigger. He can always cancel if he finds something better.

That Hard Rock review is making me think twice of not taking that deal

Hard rock is cool bro. Rooms are nice. Pool is popping. It all depends on your budget. If you can stay at MGM or Cosmo or Wynn they are better then hard rock. If you are just going to be sleeping in your room then why not save the cash? Plus if you are too hungover the party is live at the Hard Rock

Oh, yeah, it's purely a bang for your buck kind of thing. If you can afford better, by all means, go for it. Hard Rock is a great party for cheap, but if I could swing the Cosmo, I'd never look back.

                    Thanks for the feedback
Hotel wise, I just want to stay at the place that is the most fun 24-7 pool life and all around at the hotel
The only thing certain with going out is we def doing Marquee sat night...everything else is a toss up.
I'm use to Wet on saturdays, but might have to try marquee day club instead

I think I'm in the same exact boat as you. I'm looking for 30 and under party crowd, our group ranges from 23 - 29 and with that age difference (along with cheap ppl and Vegas Virgins) comes ppl not wanting to pay the Cosmo price.

Nothing worse than having those 2 or 3 people who want to do things on the cheap...
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

HRH is more of a college party atmosphere resort and casino. Rehab pool partys and the rejuvination of Body English is for sure going to bring back alot of guests. Cosmo has Marquee dayclub and nightclub. It just depends what you are looking for. HRH is off the strip. Cosmo is right on LV blvd
