  • Cosmopo Terrace Studio v Encore Tower Suites

I know the Cosmo v Encore thing has been done to death, so I'm not asking for a comparison between the 2 hotels generally.

I'm wondering whether anyone has actually stayed in a Terrace Studio and what their thoughts on it are? If someone has stayed in a Terrace Studio and an Encore room, I'd appreciate your thoughts on which you preferred.

I've currently got a room booked in the Encore Tower Suites, but have the chance to get a terrace studio (2x queens) for a good price. I was looking on the Marriott site, but it doesn't say whether the room is a fountain or non-fountain view (but judging by the price it is likely to be non-fountain side). Because I'll be there over a holiday weekend, it will probably be hard to use a sandwich to upgrade room/to fountain view.
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

    I would stay @ cosmo .

The terrace studios are nice, I stayed in one last week, however it was the 1 king bed version. the balcony really does alot for the room imo.

I have never stayed in one of the studios with 2x queens, but I think they are all in the west tower, which gives you a better chance at getting a fountain view, give the sandwich a try !

Ive probably stayed @ cosmo around 20 or so times, the key to getting the fountain view is to check in as early as possible, around 11am - noonish when everyone is checking out. If they don't have it available, tell them you would be happy to wait for a room with fountain view to open up.....and go have lunch at Henry.... and wait for them to call you.

I have had 100% success doing this, one time i waited like 4 hours.... but the fountain view is totally worth it

I would stay in the Tower Suite, especially if you plan to party on that end of the strip.
