You get a great deal there?

I have a severely discounted room there next weekend. My expectations aren't sky high, but the location is great and I'm hoping I can sandwich my way into a decent room.

Yeah. 533 bucks for 3 nights edc weekend including airfare. Just wondering how it was.

I've stayed there before and would stay there again - just set your expectations accordingly. It's not the Wynn - but for the price it gets the job done and is in a good mid-strip location.

Mike - do you recall the room type / view? Did you try an upgrade sandwich?

Did you happen to try the spa?

We got 2 of the GO rooms. They were both south strip facing, here's the view from one of the rooms. If I remember correctly both were somewhere on the floors in the 20's range (maybe 28??). Both rooms were clean and in good shape, no complaints on cleanliness or room quality. Didn't end up trying the sandwich so unfortunately can't provide a success story -554747_10152023014840538_1863177655_n.jpg

I did not try out the spa. We did go in August and ended up at the Flamingo pool one of the days. Obviously that won't be an option for you next weekend but my experience with the staff both at the pool and at the Total Rewards desk (had to go get TR credit for the cabana and bottles we ended up buying that day!) was very good. Friendly staff, helpful with questions and general good service. I'm not a huge gambler but our group did some gambling at the casino. Again - dealers and pit bosses were friendly.

The vibe/crowd is not the same as a Cosmo or PH. The rooms/casino/restaurants are not classy like a Wynncore. But all said - no complaints, we got a good price and solid value.

Thanks for the info...and that is one sweet view of Bill's Gamblin' Hall (and the fountains too)!

Chances of an upgrade are probably lower during EDC weekend but I would still try the $20 sandwich. The GO rooms are nice but their basic rooms have really thin walls. The Fab rooms have fake wooden floors which makes the noises from the other rooms even worse.

I mean - a view of Bill's roof.....that's why everyone goes to Vegas right?

                        Here's my update:

Stayed at Flamingo this weekend. Originally booked a standard room, $20 sandwich got me upgraded to Go Room with a strip view on the 22nd Floor. View was of the Bellagio Fountains. It's no Wynn, but the room was much nicer than I expected. Beds were comfortable, room was decent sized and clean, furnishings were nice. The front desk and concierge staff were all really friendly. We had a few issues (like a small electrical fire in our desk lamp, and a broken TV) that took WAY too long to resolve. But outside of that, they stay was nice.

Same as CaliGirl... booked a std room... $20 sandwich got me an executive floor level (28) with fountain view. Everything worked and we loved the sound system since we could hook our iphone up to it. Didn't do anything in the casino since it was a non stop party for us that weekend.

Personally I'd probably react a bit more strongly to something in the room catching on fire, but maybe that's just me. lol

Just stayed there this last weekend and used a $20 sandwich to go from a Fab Deluxe room to a Go Deluxe room. My initial room was on the 23rd floor with a strip view (facing Caesars). When I got up there I realized the windows were covered in the annoying Donny and Marie signage so requested to be moved to a room on the SW corner. They ended up putting me in a Go Deluxe room on the 19th floor with a great view of Bellagio fountains / Cosmo / etc.

Room was nice - only complaints would be the crappy qualify of the tv feed and the fact that the in room sound system had a slot for an iPod / iPhone that didn't use the standard adapter...not sure how you were supposed to hook it up.
