I'm considering staying there this time around for next trip in May.

So how's PH?

Love PH for location and casino vibe, not really sure about the pool scene as I usually hit up the big pool parties like EBC or MDC.

The pool is kind of lame, but they do have a DJ, and an OK crowd. Never really that crowded the times Ive been to the pool.

Great place for young party crowd. Rooms are so so and pool is the same. Good for cheap eats since it is connected to the MM mall

Everything others have said is true. Pool is average since they dont have any "parties". Rooms are ok, cool Hollywood themes. I stayed in a "Titanic" room. The mall there is nice. Lots of food and drink options there. Plus Earl of Sandwich is there. Vibe is fun for all ages. Great location. Not a bad option.

I have no issues staying at PH. It's a good location and hop, skip & a jump to Cosmo. Earl of Sandwich is open 24 hours/day, they now have DBs there & it's a good value compared to what you have around there. I haven't been to the pool in years, but usually when I stay there, it's in the winter season.

I stayed at Elara last year. I can't comment on the rooms, but I like the hotel. Good location and I like the stuff offered at Miracle Mile (restaurants, ABC liquor store in a pinch, etc.). The pool was fun, but the only day that I went I think there was some gay event happening. I only mention that because one half of the pool was taken up by a significant number of gay dudes, and the side I was on was a bunch of my friends for a bachelor party and the majority of straight women in attendance. So if you take away the special event gay dudes, and spread the non-special event party out across the entire pool, it probably wouldn't have been too lively. I'd recommend preparing to pool elsewhere.

PH is a great location to everything. Great vibe in the casino. Pool is average at best.

I stayed at PH last August. It was a great hotel in the middle of the stip. Price is reasonable and room were ok. I did go to the pool and it was not pack at all as they don't really do party as mention before. But overall it was nice.

I stayed at PH on my last visit. Rooms were good, Pool was very very average. One thing I didn't like was walking the maze through the mall each time I wanted to hit the strip (Stayed in PH Westgate towers, now Elara). That was my biggest pet peeve...Seemed like a task to get in and out.

Stayed at PH this past week (Thurs-Mon), had a fantastic time!
Sandwiched a $20, got a sick room.
The vibe there on the Thurs night was crazy, J-Lo (and her boy toy), Jason Staham, Barry Bonds, Joe Montana were all in attendance.
Strongly recommended.

Thanks everyone for the input! I think I'll definitely check PH out for this trip. Although it shocks me that their pool is so weak then the consensus is pretty strong about the party vibe throughout the casino.

With so many diff options for pool parties regular hotel pools have taken a back seat.

Wynn's adult pool pre-EBC used to get crazy. Topless women, music, lively bar and blackjack and craps tables.

Nowadays I would never go to a regular pool unless you were just looking to chill or you have a very large mixed group and don't want to drop a bunch of money on a cabana

Rooms are average, food cheap and good, pool average and the used to have a bikini contest on saturdays.
