  • Hotels - numbers per room

So May 2012 me and 8 others embarked on our first trip to Vegas. We booked 3 rooms at mgm and stayed 3 to a room with 2 king beds in each room so had room for 4 easy.

Now we are getting ready to book for a return trip in may 2013 and currently looking at where to stay. The thing is Looking back at our 5ngt trip this year I can honestly say the rooms were hardly used. Basically it was a place that we kept our cloths and every night showered got changed and headed out again.

So we are thinking do we really need 3 rooms. If we book 2 rooms would the hotel have a problem with 5 guys to a room? When I look at prices it is only ever per room never per person so is it a problem? I know people will say it will be cramped ect but we really are not worried about that. We see it as more of a base. Coming all the way from London we are not there to sit in a room we want to be out on the strip enjoying it.

Of course the ideal scenario would be for 10 of us to be in one big daddy suite but not sure what that would cost. Who knows maybe we could get a nice upgrade.

Take a look at Jockey Club. There are some members on here that swear by it.
This is one of the descriptions of a suite.

      2 bedroom unit it had:
3 queens, 1 twin, and 1 pullout couch.... we had 6 people and didn't use the couch at all (2 couples took two of the queen beds, and two single guys took another queen and the twin)

They also have 3 bedroom units (penthouse) that have
      6 queens beds
      queen size sofa sleeper (pullout)
roll-away if needed.... they claim it sleeps 15.

Looking at the location of Jockey Club and the price it would be a perfect fit. A lot of the information I have seen on it came directly from sidekicknicholas. He has also shown pictures on here of his room and it looked great.

Looking at a budget of around 2500 for 5 ngts. If that gets us in one suite then all good. We'll be hitting a variety of venues. Planning on doing ditch fridays, marquee day club, wet republic and bare for pools and haze, pure, hyde, lavo and marquee for nights all with tables.

Look at a Bella suite at Venetian palazzo, they have 2 queens and a large living area with a pull out sofa, 2 of them should be within your price range and gives you adequate bedding. As for having 5 in a room... Just don't tell them about it.

Exactly. At most Vegas resorts, the rooms technically are double-occupancy, and they charge extra (often something ridiculous like $30+) for each additional person. That being said, I put 4-5 people in a room quite a few times when I was a broke college student; this isn't really enforced, and as long as you aren't stupid about it and do something like ask for 6 keys at check-in, nobody will ever know. Definitely make sure to tip housekeeping well, though.

Also Check out Grand Chateau off Harmon. Just 1block away from Cosmo/City Center. I've seen 3br double queen rooms with living room and kitchens for $250-350 a night.
