Planning a trip to vegas in January and wondering anyone can offer any links to some good hotel deals? It would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Chuck's Hotel Deal's thread.

Also, www.mycheapvegas.com for other hotel promo codes.

Or if you need help with your dates, just post them here.

Become a Total Rewards member and check out what they have to offer. The Flamingo, Imperial Palace, and Bally's are always dirt cheap, especially throughout the week. I've seen rates as low as $20 a night.

If I had to choose between the 3 of them I would take the Flamingo hands down. Great pool (even though it won't be open for you in January) and new rooms.

I stayed at Imperial Palace last May, and don't get me wrong, for $20 a room you can't really complain, but the room smelled like curry and 6 weeks worth of "maybe i'll shower next week"

Also check the properties' websites for promotions, and sign up for their various guestbook mailing lists. Often you'll get pretty decent deals via email that are better than the rack rates showing on the main website.

Exactly. Total Rewards has dirt cheap rooms and you can even score deals for Planet Hollywood.

As for IP, those were my exact thoughts. It's definitely the "I'm broke but really want to go to Vegas and I'll only shower/sleep here" type of hotel.
          Venetian/Palazzo/IP/Cosmo/Mirage

          My hotels of choice.

Oh don't worry I'll drink it. But you better know that when I do, we about to get buck!

What days in January? There are some major conventions the 2nd and 3rd weeks that could reflect rates so the earlier you know when you're going, the better you might be.

CES, in particular, can really screw things up. Not only does it drive room rates up, but the major resorts go from being relatively normal (for Vegas), to being absolutely overflowing with nerdy businessmen and hookers who smell blood in the water. I did a trip during the week before CES a couple years ago, and the day-to-day transformation at Mandalay Bay was amazing.

Yes CES is the biggest and there's also hunting expo, home builders, and of course the porn awards. Although that last one might be more of an encouragement to go.

Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
