  • Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon getting a makeover

Looks like Caesars Group isn't stopping with Imperial Palace. Bill's is getting a $180M facelift. The rooftop pool / nightclub concept could be interesting if executed properly.

Has anyone actually stayed there? I envision coin operated beds and bunny ears on the tvs.

Check out the youtube videos on some of the Bills' rooms. Its actually pretty modern and remodeled. You wouldnt expect the rooms to look like that from a small hotel that old looking.

I think they were remodeled just a few yrs ago. The look is close to what you would see at Planet Hollywood, M Resort, Aria, Vdara, etc. That style.

Bill's is one place I like just how it is.

Interesting re: the condition of the rooms. I'll have to check it out. I didn't even know it was a Caesars property until recently. On the Bill's website it says it is NOT part of the Total Rewards but if you go to the Total Rewards site it is listed....possibly in transition.

And I agree that I like the casino just how it is. It reminds me of the downtown casinos and it's sort of cool to sit there and listen to a cover band while playing some blackjack.

Absolutely! We have been there every trip. 3 dollar bottles of beer chilling at the bar. And as for the rooms, they look decent on the website, small but decent.

I remember reading recently that they're in the process of integrating Bill's into TR, although I'm not 100% sure. I think it's an artifact of 1) the fact that they originally bought the Barbary Coast with the intention of knocking it down, and 2) the fact that at least pre-renovation, it's much "lower end" than a lot of their other properties and they wanted to keep it separate, sort of like how Circus Circus isn't part of mLife despite being an MGM property.

So I'm reading this : He also said Caesars was planning "an extensive" hotel room renovation for many of its properties in Las Vegas. Now if I remember correctly, the "Quad" was only doing an outside renovation but maybe they're planning to do the rooms after?

I've never been to Bills so I don't know how to feel about this.

Oh don't worry I'll drink it. But you better know that when I do, we about to get buck!

I like going to Bill's so I can gamble without breaking the bank.

I'm real excited about the new/renovations Vegas is making in the next 15 months.

Still need to demolish Excalibur though.

Just saw this about Drai's. Looks like they're looking to bring Drai's Hollywood pool parties to Vegas

I agree. I do like the $1 Margaritas, but updating and renovations keeps Vegas new.

Our flight in June got cancelled so we booked 1 night at Excal for $38 to have a place to crash for a few hours before the red eye. It reminded me of one of the meth house scenes in Breaking Bad. Luckily, I was up to date on my Tetnaus shot...

I stayed at Bill's over Labor Day weekend. Came in with low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised for the price I paid. Room was big and clean, with a huge flat screen TV that said "Welcome, _my_name_". Had a cool push-out stained glass window that let you see up the strip from the shower! (could see a few hotels). Quick time from strip-to-room no getting lost in a huge mall or a big confusing casino...Also right in the middle of the strip close walk to a bunch of the best spots. Taxi "line" is a little sketchy being right on the sidewalk.
