  • Bachelor Party Hotel Help

    Hi All,

I'm looking at hotels to book for my Bachelor Party (8 guys late 20s). I've narrowed it down to Cosmo, Mandalay Bay, Palms, and Aria. Looking to spend ~$200 a night/room 4 per room for a Thursday-Monday. Any help/suggestions would be awsome.

If you can fit Cosmo or Aria into your budget then I'd suggest either one. Not only are the properties newer and nicer, but they both offer a prime location. Palms is obviously off the strip and Mandalay Bay is all the way at one end (and the farthest away from Wynncore). You'll also have a better chance at getting into a premier club if you're staying at Cosmo / Aria.

Regardless, I'd try to book early and often. Make sure you're getting rooms that can be cancelled without penalty and keep looking for better deals.

Aria and Cosmo are going to run in the mid to high $200s with out tax.. and without resort fee for Aria. After taxes, they easily go up to over $300 a nite on Frid/Sat rate. Cosmo doesnt really go down under $200 much. But Aria may get in the low $100s for the Thurs and Sun so it may average out. But expect it to be over $200 average for both of those places.

Mandalay Bay does get below $100 on the Thurs and Sun. and will most likely be within the $200 range with tax and resort fee for the 4 day average.

I would look into Monte Carlo as it is next to Aria and walking distance to many of the places on the strip. Its more likely to be the best place that will be under your $200 a night average budget.

Palms, I am not familiar with the rates but its off strip and you'll have to cab it everywhere.

      ***June 2012 - Aria - Marquee ***July 2012 - Monte Carlo - XS

I would look on the thread how to get Cosmo cheap thread..i was able to get a wrap around terrace room and an adjoining king room for under 200 a night on a weekend. If you have the time look around and shop around there are great deals to be had and it is the prime location for partying.

At 4 per room, Mandalay's not a bad idea just because the rooms are very big, and the bathrooms are enormous. Sure, it's a pain to get mid-strip, but it's a cheap enough cab ride if you're splitting it among two groups of four.

By the way, you might know this already, but just in case: do not, under any circumstances, actually list four people when you book that room. Vegas rooms are generally a flat per-night rate. Usually, the rate is officially for two people, and then they theoretically charge extra for additional guests, but I have never, ever seen that enforced unless you volunteer the information upfront.

You could do Mirage for that price as well and be center strip

I love Mirage, but those are some small rooms to put four people in.

Very true! We managed, but things did become a little tough whenever we brought back company

i know you didn't mention this, but you may look at the Elara 2 bedroom suite. 7 of us stayed there 3 nights during the weekend at $200/person total. 5 beds (1 king, 2 queens, 2 pullouts, and another huge spot on the L shaped couch next to the pullout in the living room). We could have easily fit 2 or 3 more people if we needed to.

I got the wraparound for 300 and now I feel ripped off

Is $2,966 a good rate for the 3 bedroom premier? 4 days thursday-monday in mid august.

It has a foot note that "rate change during stay" for sat and sunday. Anyone know what that means?

Your rate for Fri/Sat night will be higher than Thurs and Sun nights. All you'll really care about is the average nightly rate.

Vdara is another option, as well as Trump. Bigger rooms and good locations. Especially Trump. You can easily walk to Wynn/Encore, as well as Venetian/Palazzo and Mirage. The Spearmint Rhino is an easy walk from there as well.

Palms is ok if you plan on staying there the whole trip, if not you can club/drink there for two nights then switch to the strip. I don't know how often your group has been to Vegas so the hotel hopping can give you a feel of what you'd like better for your next trip. If not, Venetian/Palazzo offers HUGE rooms for four people with an additional sleeping area (foldout sofa) at no extra charge. For the $200/avg I would also look at Monte Carlo since it'll be a lot cheaper and it's right next to where you want to be.
                              Venetian/Palazzo/IP/Cosmo/Mirage

                              My hotels of choice.

Oh don't worry I'll drink it. But you better know that when I do, we about to get buck!
