Ok everyone I just went to Vegas on Tuesday for a one night rager for my buddys birthday. So here is the story of how my upgrade happened and what not and thanks to everyones help on here it made it BEYOND EASY. So we booked 2 city rooms for the 4 of us. We arrived right at 315pm for check-in to a small line and mind you it was a tuesday, but still pretty busy. As we were greeted, I had my sandwich ready. I put a $50 in between the card and ID which the gentlemen noticed immediately and said "you guys must be looking to upgrade." That we were. He placed the $50 on top of the counter and said "if we are able to meet your needs I will accept the tip, but if we don't meet your needs I will not accept." Pretty genuine of him to do that. He asked what we were looking for and I told him we specifically wanted the 2 bedroom city suite. We asked him several questions and he said it was a lot better than the wraparound with connector and a LOTTTTT better than the Lanai so we stuck with that even though he said there was a fee to go with it. He told us the room was $980 for the night but since we had 2 city rooms already, he said he would combine the two rooms and only charge us $150 to upgrade!!! We were shocked. We were expecting at least $300-$500. We immediately said yes. He gave us the info on it and said there is only one per floor and they are all at the end of the hallways. He told us ours was over 1,800 square feet and had 3 bathrooms with a master bedroom and then another bedroom with 2 queens in it. Also, the couch was a queen pullout.... He graciously took the $50 as he was overly helpful!
When we got to the room we were shocked. You could have 50 people in this suite and have there be PLENTY of space. The bathrooms were gigantic and everything was so sick. Couldnt have asked for a better room. So all it was approximately $500 for everything ($150 for 2 city rooms and $50 tip and $150 upgrade). However since we packaged the deal on jetblue it made the rooms only $90 a piece. So $90 x 2 + $150 + $50= $380 / 4 guys = $90 a guy. Pretty sick deal if you ask me!!! And everyone had a bed as well which is crucial.
I did take a video as I figured it would be very helpful for everyone... If the link doesnt work, please go to youtube and search for title "Cosmopolitan 2 bedroom city suite tour". My user name is hornetzv. Hopefully video works on here.
Hopefully this is useful information for everyone. It literally was the best room I have ever been in and I hope all of you get a chance to upgrade on your next trip.. Thanks everybody! Enjoy!
PS.. I was already drinking when I was doing the video so please no small talks haha jk enjoy. And room number was 4753 btw...
