Does anyone have good experience getting rooms comped through Total Rewards? I'm planning a trip Oct 18th - 21st and wouldn't mind staying for free or at a steep discount at either Caesars or Planet Hollywood. I go to a Total Rewards property near Chicago 2-3x per month but they are pretty frugal with credits on table games for some reason. I wasn't smart enough to sign up for a TR card before my last two visits when I stayed and played @ PH. Any advice would be appreciated!

They're running a 40% off promo right now...that's pretty damn good.

100% comped room takes quite a bit of gambling at one place. I've gotten comped room offers at Monte Carlo because I've gambled there my last two trips within the same 12 months...basically was there two nights, for 6+ hours playing $25-100 per hand of Baccarat and BlackJack with my wife pumpin the slots.
It's taken 2 years of 2-3 trips per year, and gambling only at mLife properties to get to the level where some of the lower end casinos will throw out a comped room offer.Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

You have to be betting at least $25/hand for your table play to be "rated"...so if you're betting less, you won't get squat for credit.
The casinos LOVE slot players. Example, I typically gamble more than my wife, but play table games only. My wife plays mostly slots, but spends less than I do. She gets more and better offers than I do since she plays a lot of slots, even though I spend more money.
Our last trip she got into the $5-10 slots....scary!Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Frugal, as in they were trying to brush you off when using credits?Originally posted by cowboy2024 View PostDoes anyone have good experience getting rooms comped through Total Rewards? TR is really going with their lower end hotels like IP. Got massive comps but I played and stayed there before I received them. I've never stayed at the Caesars but I did gamble there and am not really getting anything in terms of "rewards". I'm actually starting to prefer M-Life properties anyway.Venetian/Palazzo/IP/Cosmo/Mirage
My hotels of choice.
Oh don't worry I'll drink it. But you better know that when I do, we about to get buck!

I heard from numerous people who do a lot of gambling at Caesars and dont get much at all for discounts so I am guessing the property itself is tight with themOriginally posted by JCase View PostFrugal, as in they were trying to brush you off when using credits?Originally posted by cowboy2024 View PostDoes anyone have good experience getting rooms comped through Total Rewards? Frugal as in I can sit and bet $25 - 50 / hand for 6 hours and when I check my points balance a few days later I'll end up with less than a friend who maybe spent $100 total for the night playing slots. I'm trying to buddy up to a host at my local Horseshoe so hopefully that helps.Originally posted by JCase View PostFrugal, as in they were trying to brush you off when using credits?Originally posted by cowboy2024 View PostDoes anyone have good experience getting rooms comped through Total Rewards? Yeah I think if you play a lot of table games you're best to deal with a host....when left to the hotel, all the comps go to the slot players sicne that's their cash cow.Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Ah, yeah table games are rough to build up points compared to slots. Any and every casino I have been to is the same way.Originally posted by cowboy2024 View PostFrugal as in I can sit and bet $25 - 50 / hand for 6 hours and when I check my points balance a few days later I'll end up with less than a friend who maybe spent $100 total for the night playing slots. I haven't worked with a host yet, but from what I understand is you basically tell them what kind of action you're going to bring and they personally watch over your play reports. Hosts then have the ability to offer comps/perks for their players to try and maximize action from each of their clients. So there's more of a human element in deciding when you get a comp, rather than the computer calculating what you should get.Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

i personally have never received a comp from total rewards, they only give some deals such as the 40% (listed above). It's weird though I've gotten free rooms at the cosmopolitan, venetian, and wynn but never the total rewards. I also feel like I play the most at the total rewards casinos for some reason
