  • What the hell do I do now. reservations lost for my weekend.

So a while back I was sure I had reserved a 2br suite at Elara for 6 guys. I got a really good rate of 1263 for the entire stay. (sept 13-16) Now that I am a month out i went to confirm my reservation make sure everything is all in order for our trip ect.. HOWEVER I come to find out I must not have pressed submit or something because I am not in there system at all.

Now suites are at almost 1500 and I am wondering if that is even worth it..

Help..These guys are all Vegas virgins and I want to insure they have an awesome time because I could forsee this turning into a yearly trip for us. Anyone think of anything comproable to $1263 for that weekend or should I just man up and pay the difference?

Assuming you didn't get an email confirmation then either....FACK!

If you thought you were going to be at $1260 and now you're looking at $1500 I'd just suck it up
and lock it in. Then put $120 on red when you get there. You've got a pretty good chance at coming out
        even.

Then again...perhaps the gods are trying to tell you something...maybe, just maybe, you're meant to be at the Cosmo...

I've never stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations, but you could get a 2 BR, 1080 sq. ft. suite there for ~$830 total. Has a queen sleeper sofa in living room, so it sleeps 6. Go to HGV's website and click on special offers..that's where I found the deal. The location is no worse than Elara's, probably a little better. Right behind the Flamingo. Also, you get access to Flamingo's pool area. Good luck!

This is what I am starting to think... Terrace Fountain View Suite; w/ a $50 sandwich and try for a good upgrade...

BUT there are 6 of us. Anyone think 6 guys will be a problem here? We are all arriving at different times..

I can for see a few of us sleeping on the floor because of an inability to even reach the bedroom when we get back from the clubs.

HAHA, naw I got your 'reservation' text saved. I am being a cheap ass because I would rather spend that 200+ at a dayclub.

I stayed there, and its nice but I am concerned i will probably end up disturbing someone else's vacation. Always felt like a lot of families were there..

Location does matter, I think Elara is as far away as I will go off the strip only because it is connected via Miracle Mile. NONE of the other 5 guys have been the Vegas. I am afraid for them if they get lost. Partying will happen in our room/club/casino. It is really going to vary. We have A LOT of friends coming down for the weekend football game (WSU vs UNLV) everyone of them has totally different budgets and ideas. I foresee alot of people coming to our room as we will probably have the biggest room.

I'd go with Cosmo or Palazzo. If having a bed is important, then Palazzo. If being in the wildest raging spot is most important, then Cosmo. Both have good odds of a sandwich working, and both will blow your friends' minds.

Could make an offer with this guy : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_4391wt_1338

... I messaged him about a trip I had coming up and he said very willing to work with price, size of room (from a studio up to a 4 bedroom), and dates.

Ended up with a 4 bedroom unit Thursday - Monday for $3000

I dont know what the rates are for your dates, but with the LNF rate (see thread on how to get Cosmo Cheap), I got a wraparound suite with a connected 1BR for $1278 for 3 nights(Fri-Mon), which is basically a 2BR suite. It is only 2 King beds, but has 2 big couches and plenty of room for rollaway beds ($30/night). The balcony is so big that everyone could sleep outside. It was an awesome room. Never stayed at Elara though.
