Suites for LDW

If you were going to spend in the 500 to 1000ish range a night which property would you pick? Wynn, Encore, Cosmo, or Aria? Based on the amenities and service. I could even do Caesars or Mirage if they provide "value" as older properties. No Venetian or Palazzo. I've stayed there way too much over the years. Thanks.

Get a hotel close to most of your weekend plans. Taxi traffic will be insane! You don't want anything on an opposite end of the strip. Cosmo/Aria's right in the middle.

I haven't stayed at Mandarin personally but it's right by Cosmo/Aria and most of the main clubs and I've heard nothing but AMAZING stories about the service at that hotel. Mind you though that it's not a casino hotel.

Based on amenities and services I'd stay at Mandarin Oriental. To be in the action I'd stay at Cosmo in a Wraparound Terrace. i'm not really impressed with the Wynn/Encore suites.

if you could bump up that Wraparound to a penthouse or a bungalow, that would be awesome. i wouldn't go for the Lanai suite.

Thanks to everyone that replied. I know prices are inflated this weekend so I guess I may not get as much room for the money. Good point about the traffic Noah. Sitting in a cab on the strip sucks. Mandarin will probably not work out since there isnt a casino there.

How does Cosmo compare to Aria?

Cosmos better in my opinion, but I think Aria's a bit cheaper and it's within an 8 minute walk to Cosmo through the Crystals shopping area. Yeah traffic for Memorial Day was nuts. It took me 45 mins to get 2 blocks at one point during the day. Labor Day will be about the same I'm sure.

My vote is for Aria. Making my second trip back soon. The rooms are great, service is excellent, pool is killer, and if you want to go cheap for an afternoon or night Monte Carlo is connected and has a food court and some good yet cheap pubs and gambling. And its center strip with a Walgreens right outside.

thanks for the insight chuck. i hear great things about cosmo but the casino is pretty dead last time i was there. arias isnt the best but leaps and bounds over cosmo. btw which room are you talkin about?

The Hospitality Suites are amazing if you can afford one. Otherwise, the Tower Suite is awesome as well.
The Sky Suites are also a great value since they throw in free limo transfer from/to the airport.

P.S. The Hospitality Suites won't show up in a room availability search on the website. You'll need to call the hotel to check on that one. I've got one in my room block for my next trip at $400/night, that's a reduced rate since I'm booking a lot of rooms though. My guess is you're looking at around $600-700/night for the Hospitality Suite under normal pricing.
