Sandwich to get the $2k + Suites at Palms?

I have a 2br suite at the Palms Place. Nothing super fancy but its pretty big for the price. If I slip a $100 sandwich at check in, do you think an upgrade would be possible to one of the luxury suites (ie bowling/basketball court, etc)?

The palms pricing in general doesn't make sense to me at all. In my quest to knock-off the Palazzo as my hotel for October I called the Palms to see if they had anything in the $800-900 range a night. They had a huge gap between like $600 for a shitty palms place 1br or 2000k for a basic penthouse room. How those prices make sense for a hotel off-strip compared to the room I have at the Palazzo beats me. So it looks
