    Good Mornin' Gents/Ladies

I am an avid vegas go'er however do not have much experience with the hotels as I always stayed in our house down there. I'm looking at doing a quick 48 HR surprise trip to the gf in early/mid october. I was looking at the 1 BDR skyloft @ MGM, but i'm not so sure about wanting to stay so far from the strip. I'm looking to not spend more than approx. 800-1000 for the two nights in the hotel.

It would also be a mid-week trip.

Could someone with some hotel knowledge please offer up some suggestions or any other advice!

    Thanks in advance!
    Keith

I was thinking that may be the general consensus! Any advice on certain suite #'s? I just don't want to get stuck with one that has a crap view... or do they all have generally nice views?

        Thanks!

Pay for a fountain view and at check in ask for east tower, you'll either be facing Marquee Day Club/Fountains or Fountains/Strip.

Are the skylofts far off the strip at MGM? Or do you mean you dont wanna stay on that end of the strip?

The skylofts are located in the main tower of the MGM. easy access and entry via the main elevator areas right by the main lobby.

Noah, What do the ones you just stayed at normally run?

If you're referring to my other post about the 7000sqft 3 bedroom, then I believe it runs close to 3k per night if pre-reserved. I've been told there's only 2 of them also. My friend happened to book a 1k 1bedroom and randomly got upgraded due to availability issues. Of course, it probably didn't hurt that he arrived with just him and 6 girls.

Hands down, the nicest room I've ever stayed in.

The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that the concierge service had to have almost every little thing personally delivered (probably to get lots of tips). There wasn't even an ironing board in the place and everything's remote controlled rather then manual which can be a bit confusing. Great views, breathtaking when you walk in if you don't currently live in a mansion or upper eastside high rise in Manhattan, and the infinity tubs are cool lol.

Yep thats the one I meant. Sounds awesome! I was asking the price out of curiousity only.

Ah well, just ended things with the gf over the weekend. Looks like the 2BDR skyloft i ended up booking will be put to use for a guys trip in October. Off to vegas this weekend to help 'mend the broken heart' though.

                      I appreciate all the advice!

The 2bdr skyloft with the terrace and jacuzzi is ridiculous. Why even go out with a room like that? Haha I've never stayed in it. Just saw a vid on YouTube

Ohh, it is! A host of mine got it for me for a weekend last year... what a beautiful place. If you have a good group of responsible people, it's a blast to put 30-40 people in there and just go hard... much more freedom than in a club.

We couldn't find 3 to 4 responsible people. Let alone 30-40
