  • Cosmo /sandwich / Priceline

Staying at cosmo for five nights in august. Going to try and do a 50 dollar sandwich. Booked my hotel reservations on Priceline. I'm wondering what are the odds that a sandwich may work seeing as I didn't book my room directly through their website and that I used a third party site? Can hotels see where I purchased the room/ will they know where I poked it?

An interesting read on the subject:

Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Did you get your room using Name Your Own Price? If so, how much did you bid and what were the dates?

I've been checking to see if it has come up on Priceline, but there haven't been any report of wins since 2011: http://www.hoteldealsrevealed.com/ho...e/nv/las-vegas

Whoever checks you in will always see that you used a 3rd party website. Priceline guests aren't exactly...liked by front desk staff. They try to win bids and then expect the world even when Priceline directly says that nothing is guaranteed but a room.

Oh don't worry I'll drink it. But you better know that when I do, we about to get buck!

I'm in the same boat as you. Booked a room with "name your own price" for the Palazzo. A couple people here said they were able to call and upgrade to the 2 queens but I called a couple days ago and they said they couldnt upgrade priceline bids. I'm hoping they'll let me upgrade when I checkin. I'm sure there'll be some unsold bella suites.

Are you trying to sandwich or just going for the straight pay to upgrade? And when are you going?

I'll straight pay for upgrade for peace of mind. I've done the sandwich to upgrade to bella suite before but I'm afraid they'll give me the side eye because it's a priceline bid. Haha. I'm going for the iheart music festival.

That's awesome! Same weekend I'm going. I've done almost nothing but work at hotels for my work careers and I wish you the best of luck. Every other front desk person I've worked with or have known hate Priceline reservations as much as I do.

Best advice I can give is don't sound like a needy prick. Last thing anybody wants to do is help somebody who's being an areshole at check-in.
