  • Suite/Room suggestions for group of 4-8 guys?

    Hello,

A group of us will be heading to vegas at the end of september (9/27-30) and it will be between 4-8 people. I have always stayed in a standard 2 double bed type room when I've gone in the past and slept 2-3 (with rollaway) people, but wanted to explore the possibility of getting a suite or two. Money is a factor, so I was interested in the most bang for the buck and options on sleeping arrangements. I've started searching around, but am a bit overwhelmed at this point with which places would allow more than 4 people (if needed) and if any have pullout couches in certain suites, etc. We wouldn't want to do a suite if we can only sleep 2.

Any suggestions for this type of setup would be greatly appreciated! I'll keep researching, but I figure real world feedback from this forum would help us narrow down what we can do.

Could you give us more specifics?
What kind of hotel are you looking for (party atmosphere, more luxurious, etc.)?
    What exactly is the budget?
What kind of activities do you have planned for that weekend? If you will be hitting Clubs at Wynncore and Venetian/Palazzo for example it doesnt make sense to stay somewhere south strip for example.
I'm actually gonna be in town for my bachelor party that same weekend and a lot of the hotel deals for the end of September aren't available yet, but will be published within the next 30-60 days.

We're looking for a nice hotel, whether the hotel is 100% party all the time doesn't matter so long as it's close to the action. We do plan on hitting some clubs and probably one would be in the wynncore group. As far as budget, I'm not really sure, just yet.. maybe try to stay under $350 pp for the 3 nights?

So it sounds like the better deals will be coming out in the next month or two for that time?

Yes, usually hotel deals are available 60 days out and as the date gets closer (if occupancy is low) there will be more deals.
With the budget you mentioned above you would be able to get a baller suite dude. Find out your exact head count and then you know what you will be looking at. I would take a look at the skylofts at MGM and the villas at the Mirage if you want a hangover type suite.
Take a look and tell us what you think.

Thanks for the links, both of those options look pretty sick, but it seems out of our price range unless they run outrageous deals. The smallest 1br villa lists $1500/night so even putting 8 of us (is that even possible with 1 bed?) in there looks like $562pp. I probably wasn't very clear in our budget, I meant to say under $350 total per person for the entire stay.

Still working on an exact headcount but wanted to get a jumpstart on what kind of options were out there.

            Oh OK!
I thought 350 pp/nt. That's why I gravitated to the next level suites.
Im coming in that same weekend with 12 guys and were doing connecting Bella suites at the Palazzo. These are the standard rooms at the venetian/palazzo and come with two queen beds, a pull out couch and a lot of living space. If you have between 6-8 guys you can easily fit comfortably in these rooms. We are doing 3 guys to a room (as I think this is the most comfortable) but you can easily fit four.
            http://www.palazzo.com/Las-Vegas-Acc...s/Bella-Suite/
Right now there's an advance booking deal which is 20% off.
            http://www.palazzo.com/Las-Vegas-Pac...ed-Booking-Q2/
Make sure you enter 2 guests per room and when you check in just get two keys for each room, this way you can avoid the ridiculous $30 pp/nt fee.
            Lemme know what you think.

Hah, you nearly read my mind. I had just looked at that option and moved it to the top of the list. Looks like we could do two suites for $1330 total for 3 nights and sleep 6 comfortably which would be $220ish a person. The only thing is I'm not sure I can gather everyone up to book before that deal goes away. Do they usually run deals for these? Also, do they charge extra for connecting suites?

              Thanks, Ben

Are you signed up for Grazie (the Venetian's player club)? I think you can sign up online, they usually have deals about 60 days out. But either way there will be another deal next month, and another one the month after that.
They don't charge for connecting suites but it's only a "request". Hopefully ur flight is landing early and you can get there and make your request for connecting rooms, you may have to wait but it's well worth it. Getting connecting rooms at the Palazzo is like having one big suite.
It seems like there are many JC members other than us going this weekend. What are your plans for nightlife?

Co-sign on the connecting bella suites. Work out perfectly for 6 but can squeeze more if you want. Palazzo is actually my favorite hotel for bigger groups (6+)

I did get charged $20 a night last July 4th weekend when I requested connecting suites in advance (after booking but before arrival). Don't know if things have changed or if they just played me but since it was only $60 total I didn't even try to get out of it.

What about checking out THEhotel at Mandalay. They have very reasonable rates and the 2 queen bed room have a totally separate living space and an extra half bath. (Last I checked their reservation site is kinda screwy so you may have to call)

There's a June Premium offer that's cheaper than the advanced purchase option I believe and 100% cancellable.

Unfortunately this expires on 9/9, and the weekend in question is 9/27, but this deal is sick.

Good call as well. Only problem it's at the exact opposite end of the strip of the clubs they want to hit up. Unless it's significantly cheaper no reason to choose it over something closer. Quality is comparable IMO
