  • 21st Birthday in November

    I am currently planning my 21st birthday weekend in Vegas Nov 9-11.
    After looking through many forums and reviews, we've pretty much narrowed the hotel choices down to Cosmo, Hard Rock, PH, and MGM. There's going to be about 10-15 of us, so what are some people's reviews of these properties? Keep in mind, it's November, so the pool scene isn't really a factor for us.
    Also, where do you suggest going out at night as well as information on bottle/table service since there will be a large group of us?
    Thanks so much in advance!!!

    Its still going to be awhile. Read up on the forums til then so you can have an idea which clubs you may want to go to.

    Just plan ahead on the hotel room and plane fare. November isnt usually that busy, but if there is a Pacquiao vs Bradley rematch, it maybe that month. haha. I already booked Aria for that weekend just in case. Can always cancel later anyway.

    Personally I would stay on the strip. HRH is far and you would have to take 3-4 taxis to haul everyone around everytime you want to go anywhere.
    ***Feb 2012 - Aria - Marquee *** March 2012 - Encore - Marquee, Surrender
    ***May 2012 - Aria - Marquee, Surrender ***June 2012 - Cosmo - Marquee, XS, EDC
    ***June 2012 - Aria - Marquee ***July 2012 - Monte Carlo - XS
    ***Aug 2012 - Aria - Marquee, XS ***Oct 5-6 - Monte Carlo - Marquee

    * Oct 27- Nov 2 - Elara...
    * Nov 21-23 - Aria

    * Dec 7-9 - Aria

      Agreed with WT661, I would avoid Hard Rock Hotel just cause it's a bit far off the strip and it's not in walking distance from any of the clubs. I would stay away from MGM too just cause it's at the end of the strip from clubs like Wynn properties and a bit far from walking distance to Marquee.

      Cosmo is definitely gonna be the young hip party crowd you're looking for but it's a bit expensive and for 10-15 people you're talking multiple rooms. PH also falls into this category of young party crowd but is a cheaper option compared to Cosmo that's across the street from it. Another suggestion if you want to be in the middle of the strip is Aria, their rooms are really nice and fairly priced too. Also if you do get multiple rooms to fit everyone, they don't require you to pay first nights deposit so you won't be out money till November.

      If you're attracted to the clubs over at Wynn/Encore I would highly suggest you looking into Palazzo also. Wynn/Encore is in walking distance so you'll save a lot on cab fares hauling everyone back and forth. Rooms can fit 7-8 people comfortably and they're priced just as much as the regular rooms at other hotels. You could fit 14-15 people in two Bella Suites and have them connected so you guys won't be on different floors or anything.

      Hope this helps!

        I should also say that we're looking at really any hotel that's going to give us that party-vibe and also give us a good amount of room to get ready and party before going out to the clubs at night.
        Between our suite, any adjoining/additional standard guest rooms for all 10-15 of us, we'd really like to stay below $2500, but not above $3000.
        This will be my 2nd trip to Vegas, but first time really being able to enjoy it as a 21 year old. Thanks guys!

          I'd say look into the thread on how to get Comso to cheap on here. If you book far in advance you should be able to snag a room for pretty cheap espescially if all you guys are splitting the cost.

            I think your best bets are gonna be Cosmo, Palazzo and Aria. I would also look at the Mirage, it has a good location on the strip and is walking distance to Tao/Lavo/Wynncore nightlife, plus the rooms are beautifully renovated and the prices are very reasonable.
            You should be able to find some good deals for all of the above mentioned properties by browsing these forums. Jut be patient and you'll find the right deal that will scream out to you.

              I say you do the 3 bedroom suite @ Elara.. it looks to only be $2,551 w/ a AAA card.

              awesome room, good location, good price, plenty of space. Just my vote.

                Is that $3k just for the hotel rooms? Or do you mean $3k in total spending for the whole weekend from everyone, which includes clubs/food/supplies/etc...?

                  Since Elara is not a gaming hotel and is now more used for timeshares, would it still be a party friendly property? That's my big concern there, as clearly we are going to be a bit loud.

                    Unum - My only worry with Elara is the party-friendly environment since it is mainly timeshares now.
                    Nighthawk - The 3K is the limit we'd like to stay in for the room.

                      I would take a look at the Mirage 2 bedroom tower suite. It's big and you pack people in there.

                        Then you got plenty to work with as far as hotel rooms go with... You could even go for a aria 2 bedroom sky suite for that budget. Besides the Elara 2 bedroom suite I don't know which other rooms could fit 15 comfortably

                          You can get 4 Palazzo Suites for the 9th and 10th and spend $2200 you'd be sleeping everyone in there own bed and be right in the middle of all the action.
