  • vegas noob, need help finding hotel for june 1-3

I've been to vegas a few times with friends, but they always handle the searching for deals and booking so im not very good at this. are there any good deals for the weekend june 1 (check in june 1, check out june 3). looking for a decent hotel but not too expensive (around 200 per night or less) preferably with at least 2 beds. also preferably on the strip, saw a deal for the trump but didn't take it cause it was too far

I would try that link, they have a lot of promo codes for strip hotels....I got Venetian for that weekend for about 700 back in March

Or in the true spirit of Vegas, gamble blind on your hotel using priceline.
      Things escalated quickly...

Try vegas.com or pretty much any other site.

Just checked and Ceasars was 219.00/night average

Under $200/night and on the strip, NY NY, TI, Elara

Mirage is usually the best value when I'm looking. The price should be in line with what you want and the location is top notch being a 10 minute walk to City Center, across the street from the Venetian/Palazo, and a stones throw from Wynn/Encore. Oh, and Harrah's/Carnival Court is right across the street also. Like them on Facebook and you'll see they have specials for Facebook Fans all the time. Just last week they did 20% Deluxe Rooms.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Try www.mycheapvegas.com some 30% off promos for the caesars properties there. 72 hour sale, but i checked ph for you and prices a little high still.

Another option is like vegas.com on facebook. They give out $50 off $250 coupons on there. Book $250+/night hotel rooms, and book 2 separate reservations. That might be cheaper.

All else fails go with Priceline 5 star north strip. If you're cheap, rent a car, and go with Trump, beautiful hotel.

How about Caesars for $153.30/nt? Promo code LV30 is good for all Harrah's properties for the next 72 hours.

Your friend booked 5 star Las Vegas Strip vicinity North. That's guaranteed trump.

If you book 5 star Las Vegas Strip North, you get either Wynn, Palazzo, or Venetian.

really? that, i didn't know. what type of rates do you get through priceline? we usually book through casino promo's that we get, but this may be another option. thanks in advance for any info.

go to betterbidding.com. its very much a forum like this one, and they can list all the hotels that are on hotwire/priceline and all the amenities that are shown. you can even post asking for a specific price you see and the forum host will give you their best guess on what you will get. haven't tried it, but it looks like it makes a lot of sense.

This is a very good site as well, ask questions there, many people will be more than happy to help you.

As for my bidding technique. I usually check out expedia price, and start 40% lower than their price. There is something called rebid zones, so i just rebid with increments of $2-3 each time and do it until i win the auction. I find the prices are usually about 30-40% cheaper than on expedia, unless expedia's having some kind of sale.

if i book the trump through hotwire.com for $128 a night, does it mean i'll get 1 or 2 beds? cause i put 2 adults and 2 children when i searched the option. that should mean 2 beds right

Yes, most likely but with these sites you're never guaranteed. However, from my experiences at the trump, they're incredibly accomodating, especailly with the $20 tip. You'll probably get upgraded to a 1 bedroom if you use the tip.

Yeah, you'll 2 beds. 3 or more guests forces 2 beds. It's possible that they could give you 1 bed with a pull out couch but I highly doubt this.

For the cheapest rooms, book directly with the hotels (not travel sites) or use Priceline and the Priceline helper site www.HotelDealsRevealed.com.
