Booking a room when you get to lv??

Hey there guys so im in a bit of a pickle and need advice. Im going to Vegas May 1-8 (deadly). I have been able to win(via priceline/hotwire) the Cosmo for the first half and Palazzo for the second but in order to get these deals I had to exclude the Friday in the breakup so now me and my friend are roomless for Friday the 4th. The plan was to just grab a cheap room wherever but even the shit 3 stars are over $100. Im wondering if its possible to get a room cheaper day of? I know this is not ideal because I dont really like the fact of having to search for a room Friday when i am most likely going to be deathly hungover but am open to the idea or any other suggestions for scoring a room at a reasonable rate?

Weekday is easier to book a room blindly if it isnt a big convention week.

That weekend 4-6th is actually a higher rate than other weekends the last couple weeks. I'm there that weekend too and its 50% higher that weekend than usual.

I'd book now rather than taking a chance.

Yeah, looks like everything (even downtown and Super 8 stuff) is around $100 per night. Which between 2 of you isn't "that" bad, but still pricey for those hotels.
Try to get a late checkout on Friday at Cosmo. Sleep all day until you have to leave. Go to Palazzo and check you bags. Party all night. Get to Palazzo in the morning, grab your bathing suit and head to the pool until your room is ready.

You're gonna have a hard time getting a cheap room on that Friday because of the right. I would say they'll be 75%-100% more expensive than usual because of that.

Ya I was checking to book 6 rooms for our group that weekend and it was too much for frid/sat. We had to get off strip just so its not ridiculous prices. Will you have a car or no?

But anyways I won the stratosphere off priceline for $100 with taxes in Blaaaaah worst possible one haha. Might check on room prices during the week to see if I can find something but at least I have a backup. Prob only gonna use it to get ready for the evening that night anyways....

Ouch, Stratosphere is never worth $100 IMO, at least you got a place though. Fight weekends are tough!

The $100 in total or so between the 2 of you. $50 per person is not bad at all. Anything cheaper you might only save $20 here or there but in order to avoid the hassle and frustration I would think the little extra money be worth it. You could also slut it up Friday night and get a free night with some guy.

I'd rather stay at the Motel 6 on Tropicana (close to Wet Republic and NYNY) than stay at the Stratosphere & definitely Circus Circus (even if one of their towers is renovated.) It's just too far up north for my liking and I feel the Stratosphere vicinity is too shady for two women unless you cab it everywhere. Though Stratosphere is closer to the Wynn & Encore.

That Motel 6 is def the nicest Motel 6 I've ever seen. Solid location, low price.
