TI suite or Cosmo suite ???

Hey everyone, I just want a little feedback about a Vegas problem I'm having, and I'm not even IN Vegas yet!

Ok here's the deal, I'm going to Vegas in a few weeks and I currently have two rooms booked: a petite suite at TI for $105 per night and a wraparound terrace suite at Cosmo for $165 per night. The Cosmo rate is thanks to that ridiculously good price match that Marriott.com does. The question I have is what room should I keep, and why? Is it worth the price difference to stay in the Cosmo suite?

Now here's where my dilema comes in. I'm going with three other people. Myself and a friend booked together and two of his friends booked together. Initally both groups booked rooms at TI. However, when I saw that Cosmo deal pop up, I immediately locked up the wraparound suite. I figured all I had to do is tell the other two to cancel their TI room and rebook at the Cosmo. Easy, right? Come to find out, they booked their trip through expedia, so they can't modify their reservation.

When we told them we had booked a room at the Cosmo, they flipped out and felt like we were ditching them. Their take is that we're all going to Vegas to hang out together, and if we're in different hotels we'll hardly see each other and it will make everything much more complicated. My take is that the Comso wraparound suite is such an awesome room and at $165 per night, I think I'd really regret it if I pass it up.

SO, would you stay at the Cosmo and risk pissing off two of the people you're going with, or cancel it and just stay at TI? If I keep the Cosmo room am I being a selfish jerk for switching plans, or are they being babies about having to have everyone stay together in the same hotel?

Stay with your friends. Yeah a nicer room is great but the Vegas expeience is you and your friends ripping the city up. You might end up feeling you are the odd man out and missing out on certain adventures when they all together and you way down there.

Great answer... I completely agree! Yeah, Cosmo's still the "in spot" in LV right now, but the Petite Suite is a very nice room. I still prefer that end of the strip as well.

Let me clarify one thing, I might have rambled a bit in my first post. There would be TWO of us staying at Cosmo and Two staying at TI.. NOT me by myself at Cosmo and the other three at TI.

I guess what I'm having trouble understanding is how someone could be MAD that that their friends want to stay in a different hotel, especially when they know we both really want to stay there. I've been to Vegas four times and have never had this become an issue before. It's Vegas, you just meet up.

I don't see how we can be expected to give up a 1200 sq ft suite with a huge balcony overlooking the Bellagio fountains, Marquee nightclub downstairs (no cover), in the center of the strip, for only $165 bucks a night (normally a $400 a night room) just because someone thinks everyone should stay in the same hotel! Hmm,,, Decisions.

The Cosmo room will be great, and the expedited entry to Marquee is great for the two of you staying there. Your friends are going to have to get presale tickets or work out something with a host to get through that Lu e fast. When your group is at two different hotels it can feel like your not on the same trip, and coordinating everything gets a lot harder. Hell even getting together to gamble becomes a series of calls and texts.

Another solution could be to have your friends call expedia and see if they can pay the difference to get a room at the cosmo.

Other option is to stay at TI and with the money you are saving try to sandwich your way up to a better suite.

Cosmo is probably the better place to stay but if you the TI route that could sweeten the deal.

Stay at Cosmo. I spent a few hours in a wrap around last year and its awesome. So good that I booked a Bedroom Tce for my stay in June. And at that price??? Im paying 200 p/n for bedroom tce. The people I met last year paid 400 p/n for the room.
As far as the friends...Well I have mates at IP, Harrahs, Venetian, NYNY, Cosmo (1 only) TI and PH. Atleast we have a room to freshen up 6 different locations...

Yeah I've seen all the youtube video reviews and the wrap-around suite is ridiculoulsy nice. And for $165 per night, my mind is already made up on staying there.

I just have to get my buddy to get over the fact the the other two coming with us might be a little upset if we switch up the original plans by staying at a different hotel than them.

I guess as hard as I try, I just can't see it from their perspective; especially after this thread and talking to many different people about it. Seriously, who really gives a s#!t if your friends are going to stay at a different hotel, if that's what they want to? It's not like you're not going to see them and hang out every night!

keep the room at cosmo. tell those other two guys to stop acting like little girls. it really isnt that serious.

if anything, it makes it better since they are on 2 ends of the strip (in terms of clubbing).. which means you have 2 places to pregame and then hit the club almost immediately. use the TI suite for clubs at wynn/encore/venetian/palazzo/mirage, and the cosmo one for bellagio/CP/planet hollywood/aria

I'd say keep your room at Cosmo. It's not all that big of a deal to meetup anytime. And you can rotate days of what side of the strip you want to hang out on and take turns going to each others hotel.
